2. Even when credited, reposting without permission will upset the original artist.
What can I do instead of reposting or how should I go about reposting?
1. Ask the artist for permission first. No means no, you shouldn’t try to negotiate.
2. Credit the artist, if you were given permission to repost.
3. Don’t repost, instead share it with friends or viewers.
To conclude, tracing and reposting should not happen often. If you want to repost a work, ask for the artist’s permission and credit them. DO NOT TRACE altogether. If you see traced artwork or reposts without credit or permission, tell the original creator. Do not harass anyone for their mistake, simply tell them why it’s wrong.
