Eating to me is one of the cheapest entertainment in the world. It fills you, it fuels your day and you feel really good after eating good food. What's not to love about food?
Hi, I'm Joseph Wong from Feeding Joeboy.
The purpose of this channel is to share good Malaysian food across Malaysia. Sometimes, I also share good food find abroad during my travels. Occasionally, I will also share some of my recipes from the kitchen though in all honesty, I am more of an eater rather than cook. Nevertheless, it's all about good food for me.

Back at Siu Siu Restaurant, Lorong Syed Putra Kiri. Had to reserved in advance their char siu just in case it runs out.
Surprisingly good fried rice and very nice prawn paste sweet potato leaves claypot. We had crabs which although fresh, the accompanied sauce was meh. For 4 pax, came out to RM460 with the crab taking up more than half of the bill. Good place to eat with family and friends especially overseas guests.

Restoran Kampung Kari Ikan. The people behind this restaurant hails from Sungai Petani, Tanjung Dawai, Kedah. The reason for their restaurant name is they want their customers to feel like they are eating food from their kampung. To live up to their expectation, seafood here comes from their hometown, Tanjung Dawai and also Sandakan, Sabah.
Situated in a small shop lot with a total of 9 tables, this establishment is one of the most optimised and efficient places I’ve been. Clearly seen from their speedy service. From order when you sit down to food being served to you. You can say it’s a fast food concept of a “tai chow” place. Even cleaning of the table was fast with at least 5 people packing everything up and preparing for the next guests. Having container of chilli and garlic as well as boxes of tissue around the shop helps removed unnecessary mundane task for front of house staff.
Now, for the food. I must say it was decently nice. No complaints. Liked their signature Kampung Curry Fish (Grouper). Not must fish meet to be honest but it was fresh and succulent. Nice Chinese style curry with lots of veges. Least favourite for me was the sweet sour pork or “ko lo yuk” mainly for its dark marination and less succulent texture. Overall, value for money. End to end, 1 hour dining time and most importantly, all dishes arrived on the table within 15 mins from order time despite a full house.
Will be back. Point to note, this place is also air conditioned thus makes eating here as a family, a lot more comfortable especially with the recent heatwaves. Many thanks to the sistas for the recommendation.
