Books and Ladders is run by Jamie, someone who reviews, discusses, and features books, especially science fiction, fantasy, and contemporary books. Jamie is a 30-something reader from Ontario, Canada who loves to read, binge watch TV shows, and play video games in her spare time. She can be found in the wilds of the GTA, but mostly stays in her apartment curled up with a cup of tea, a good book, and her cat Pepper.

Back in grad school, I was going to write my major paper about The Hunger Games and how eerily similar things were getting, especially when Trump was first elected President. I'm sharing it with you today on Substack. Keep in mind it's not peer reviewed and based only on the initial trilogy as Ballad and Sunrise had not yet been published (or announced).
