A life of a Russian woman on the British fells, trails and mountains. I like to explore - I do whatever it takes to get around - run, walk, climb, crawl. I live in the North-West of England but come from St-Petersburg, Russia. Sometimes in my videos I go to different places rather than the British countryside and talk about my cultural heritage and where I come from.

I have a few viewers who have joined recently, who are not from the UK. Therefore, I would like to explain what a "fell" is.
"Fell" is a type of landscape very typical to North of England (as well as Scotland, Wales and Ireland). It's a hilly landscape with certain type of vegetation, mostly moorlands, mossy, or boggy type. It's hard to describe it, but, honestly mountainous areas in other countries have a kinder underfoot. Fell running is rough, often on no path with high elevation. It's rougher than trail running. Fell running shoes have a better grip than trail running ones.

Happy Winter Solstice 2025 everyone! From today the day light is going to get a little bit longer every day. With my club Preston Harriers, we celebrated it the fell running way on top of Paddy's Pole hill, followed by a get together in a pub in Chipping.

My eldest daughter Emily got married on Thursday. Wishing the newly weds a long and happy life together. The wedding venue was really cool - Barden Tower near Appletreewick in Wharfedale in North Yorkshire where the last year's British fell relay was held and where Runners and Riders fell race takes place.
