Tribute to Final Fantasy X in Rebirth! Really happy with how this one came out overall, but not so happy with being unable to make a true summoner build with the way Rebirth handles summons. I hope in Part 3 either they rework summons entirely so we can call on them more often, or we at least get materia that makes the summon meter appear sooner in battle!

FFX had a cool way of making summons in battle feel like epic pokemon battles lol Do you want Part 3 to rework summon?

POV: You’re a thug robbing Wayne Manor:

Wayne Manor was supposed to be empty.

Harley sent us here to rob the place, said the Bat wouldn’t be around tonight. Said it’d be easy. Just an old, dusty mansion full of rich-people junk. She was wrong.

It started with Frankie. Biggest guy in our crew. A wall of muscle, dumb as bricks but strong as hell. We heard a noise—just a whisper of movement in the dark—and he went to check it out. Gone. Not a sound, no scream, no struggle. One second he was there, next second, nothing. We found his flashlight rolling on the floor like he’d just melted into the shadows.

Then Mickey panicked. Swore he saw something move on the second-floor balcony. He unloaded his piece—BANG BANG BANG—but when the smoke cleared, nobody was there. The only thing left was his own damn reflection in the glass. Then the lights went out.

Hector and Danny got it next. We stuck together, backs to the wall, moving slow. Then Danny started breathing heavy. Said he could hear something in the vents. A second later, a black shape dropped from the ceiling—just dropped—and Danny was gone. Hector screamed, ran for the door. Something yanked him into the dark.

That left me and Richie. We sprinted for the front doors. Locked. Windows? Shuttered. The only way out was the way we came, but the hallways stretched forever, twisting in ways they shouldn’t. Then I heard it—that voice.

“You should’ve stayed home.”

Richie lost it. Fired his gun in every direction, screaming at the shadows. Then the shadows grabbed him back. He fought, he cursed, but it didn’t matter. The dark swallowed him whole.

Now it’s just me.

I press my back against the cold marble wall, my breath ragged, my hands shaking. The whole house is silent. Too silent. I squeeze my gun so tight my knuckles pop.

Then I hear it.

Footsteps.

Slow. Steady. Heavy boots on the floor, coming toward me.

I don’t want to look.

But I do.

And there he is.

A tall, black shape, walking out of the dark like a nightmare given form. Eyes red like blood, cape billowing like smoke. The shadows cling to him, bend toward him.

I raise my gun. My hands won’t stop shaking. I want to scream.

He keeps walking.

I pull the trigger.

Click.

The gun’s empty.

The last thing I see is him, towering over me, reaching out.

Then—

Darkness.

Just dropped a no-damage combat video that uses what may be the cleanest suits in the game! Love that the last style of Miles’s Family Business suit is a reference to his version of the iron spider. I condensed the mission so it goes quicker to the combat sections.
