Oh boy Friday was insane! I rode Hemi, because his owner was there! She’s also trying to make him more comfortable during lessons so we got to talking and she wanted me to try him in her saddle which has been professionally fitted to him!!
He was sooooo much more fluid and comfortable it was crazy!!!!

Okay so- Sunday.
When I got there I asked my trainer who I should ride. She said Hemi was feeling better so I should give him a try.
He was soooo amazing. This horse was so so sooo supple on the flat and came into a really nice frame for me without much battle (he’s normally really reluctant 😭) and he seemed eager and forward the whole time! Sadly my mom came late so none of the flat work is on camera sadly.
But when we started jumping it’s almost like a switch flicked in his head, he tried so hard for me but he was definitely stiff and un comfy.

Okay so- Fridays ride! It was… interesting? I rode spritey tightey and he was VERY fresh! We had some big bolts but I stayed on, no big bucks tho! Sadly it’s not on video but it was genuinely such a scary moment. My trainer is so so amazing. She walked with me, talked me through it and I couldn’t be more grateful. We continued into an AMAZING jumping lesson! Excited for Sunday!

Ahhhh sorry for being so inactive guys! I have a big announcement tho!
Basically, at my barn there are girls who do the paddocks in exchange for moneyyy
And I’m one of them now!!! So I’ve been assigned sprites paddock and everyday I get to go to the barn and clean his paddock, fill his water etc!!
It’s soooo exciting Ehhe
Anddd! Since I’ve been at the barn more lately the barn managers been letting me free ride a bit!!
I rode maverick today after just under 2 weeks off and he was a saint!
