Kai's POV

I can feel Paedyn's arms around my neck and her breath in the crook of my neck. I sigh knowing I have to get up to go to a meeting.

I give her a kiss on the head before trying to peel her arms off of me. She just tightens her arms around me muttering incoherent words.

"Darling I have to get up." I whisper in her ear.

"Nooo. Stay!" She demands sleepily her arms still tight around my neck.

I chuckle, and sit up causing the covers to fall off of her body as well as mine. She shivers and buries her face deeper in my neck and has her arms locked in place.

"Darling I have a meeting I have to go to."

"You're the king. Change it." She says stubbornly.

She does have a point I could just change it, but I've already changed the last four due to not wanting to leave Paedyn.

"Darling this one is really important and I can't change it."

I stand up think that she will just let go but instead she just wraps her legs around my waist. She starts slipping due to tiredness. "Woah!" I catch her, my hands on the backs of her thighs.

"Paedyn..." I warn.

She places a soft kiss on my neck. "Don't leave me."

She is half asleep and still using her woman powers on me. I groan.

"I'm going to get ready."

She holds me tighter as I walk around the room finding pants and a shirt. This woman won't let me go.

Plagues she is so stubborn. That's why I love her.
I feel another kiss on my neck and I freeze. She finally opens her eyes and looks up at me.

"Please stay, I don't want to be alone right now" her voice is slurred like she's drunk but her blue eyes look into mine pleadingly.

I sigh. "Fine." I throw the clothes I was planning on wearing to the ground and take us back to the bed. "This meeting can wait."

I give her a long kiss on her forehead and cover her up with the blanket. She finally untangled her legs from around my waist and cuddles into me.

"I love you" I whisper into her ear.

"Loveyoutooo" she is already falling back into sleep.

I chuckle

I see Paedyn in the kitchen talking to Gail and I hug her from behind. "Oh" she gasps. I smile and kiss her neck.

"You're cute when you're tired." I whisper into her ear.

"What are you talking about?" She turns around, her face full of confusion.

"Do you not remeber this morning?" I ask

"You mean when you wouldn't get off me to let me go get something to eat, and I had to push you off the bed." She says sweetly.

"I wouldn't let you go! You wouldn't let me go!" I exclaim.

"What are you talking about? I never did anything like that" she says.

"Yes I had to skip the meeting this morning because you wouldn't get off of me!" I argue

"I remember nothing of the sort!" She rebuttals

"Yes you didn't let me go and when I got up you held onto me with your arms and legs!"

"No I didn't." She says stubbornly pointing a finger at my chest.

"Both of you break it up!" Gail says, "no yelling in my kitchen now out! Out! Out!" She pushes us towards the door.

When we get outside and the doors are shut we both start laughing like crazy.

I pull her towards me by her waist, our lips almost touching. I bite her lower lip. "You are still cute when sleeping, Azer"

I then turn and run with her chasing behind me.

The servants looking at the king and queen wondering whether they were serving rulers or children.

My heart was racing. Goosebumps covered my arms. “Maya did you hear that?” I asked 

“It’s probably just a janitor. You're worrying too much.” I tugged on her sleeve as I followed the light her flashlight gave off.
 
“Maya the janitor went home hours ago.” 

My gut twisted as she said the words, “… oh right… cmon let’s just look for your phone” 
I nod.

“I think I left it near the benches” motioning for her to lead the way.
“Riley..?” 

“Yes,”

“Don’t come any closer.”

“What? Why?” There’s no reply, “maya?!” 

“Riley” Maya's voice is shaky. “I’m over here.”
