Hey YouTube family! I'm still learning my way around here, so any tips and tricks you can leave in the comments would be super helpful! If this community piece is supposed to be like Tumblr, I can totally jive with that.
I wanted to share my goals for 2024! They're small compared to the ones I had last year, because last year's are still unfolding:
1. Walk to work! I live about 1.5 miles away from where I film and have my office, so figured commuting on foot would be a great way to get more steps in. It's the whole reason I moved here, so I might as well take advantage of it!
2. I'd like to be more at peace when I'm in the belly of my projects. Most of what I'm working on has timelines spanning 1-5 years, so getting comfortable with the long game and finding simple pleasures in the mini wins along the way is really important to my longevity in this profession.
3. Spending more quality time with my Louie! I have a 3.5 year old pit bull mix who is the sweetest little baby in the world, and even though we're attached at the hip, a lot of our time spent together is satisfying what I want/need to do. I want to block off more daily time to dedicate to purely him: taking a different route on our run so he can explore a new neighborhood or park in Atlanta; going on a little trip to the pet store a few blocks from my house, not because he needs more toys and treats, but because he deserves those simple pleasures just like I deserve my matcha latte. He's been my companion for some of my toughest years, and this boy deserves the world.
Let me know how you're elevating your year! Cheers to a beautiful 2024.
