When I was a consultant, I would ask myself:
“Can I directly send this to a C-level client with my name on it?"

If not, then it’s not ready for your supervisor. You can of course ask for help and guidance, though act on it yourself.

Consultants travel a lot for work. This is what a typical consulting schedule looks like.. 👇

Monday: early morning flight to client office.
Monday – Thursday: work at client site.
Thursday: late evening flight back home.
Friday: work from home office.

Repeat next week. Exceptions of course if client works from home office.

Packing your bag efficiently is key. Here is a checklist for your next trip:

Bring at least 1 tie
Sweater, vests to keep you warm

1 casual outfit: polo shirt and trousers
Toiletries: toothbrush, tooth paste etc.
1 outfit for sports: runners, socks, shorts, T-shirt
Bring an extra suit (in case someone spills coffee on you)
Have a tag with personal details (in case you lose your bag)
Always have 1 more dress shirt than the # of days of the trip
Have a ribbon that marks your luggage (so you can identify it easily)
Don’t check in bags, carry-on bags allow you to quickly leave the airport
