Spending time in nature isn't just good for the body — it's great for our minds too.
Trevor, from Verwood, went through a really tough time with his mental health. But getting outside with his camera at Moors Valley helped him find calm, focus, and a way forward.
Watch his story in our new video — it’s a powerful reminder of how much we all need access to nature and green spaces.
👉 Head over to the Dorset Council website and search 'nature recovery' to learn more about Dorset's plan for nature and how to get involved.
Over the past year our harbour team in Weymouth has been supporting the work of local charity Friends of M.V. Freedom, to make it easier for people living with disabilities to access the sea.
Hear more about the M.V. Freedom and the excellent service it provides from the charity’s chair Dirk and our berthing officer Richard.
Dorset Children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families, who may need some extra support, are invited to enjoy the forthcoming activities of the ‘Artz & Sportz’ Dorset Council project. The project has seen the Christmas holiday 2022 programme featuring Cinderella at Poole Lighthouse in particularly high demand and many events are already fully booked, however there is still availability for the Fairy Tale Forest event.
Find out more about Artz & Sportz by watching the video or visiting the Facebook page: search 'Artz+ Sportz+'
Our YouTube homepage will be unavailable this weekend between Thursday evening and Monday morning (10-14). Fear not, our ever popular webcams can still be viewed here 👇
