📢 Today I didn’t apply for a “Perfect” Upwork Job, here's why

While scrolling, I came across a very well-structured and professionally written job description. Clear scope. #Shopify_Project. Decent pay. It looked serious.

For a moment, I was on the verge of applying.
But then I checked the client's history.

And everything changed.
🔴 5–10 proposals already
🔴 Reviewed an hour ago
🔴 5 people being interviewed
🔴 11 invitations sent
🔴 Recently joined Upwork
🔴 0% Hire Rate
🔴 Payment method unverified

Too many red flags.

Most freelancers see a clean job description and rush.
They think: Professional Writing + Good Pay + Boost Proposal = Opportunity.
But sometimes, it’s a trap.

⚠️ Your #connects are expensive. They are not unlimited. Applying blindly is not a strategy, it’s gambling.

Students often ask me: “What parameters do you check before applying?”

My answer is simple:
⤷ Understand the client’s psyche
⤷ Analyze their hiring behavior
⤷ Compare project worth vs risk
⤷ Study their seriousness, not just their words

A good description doesn’t guarantee a good client.
Sometimes the smartest move on Upwork is not writing a proposal, it’s choosing not to.

🟢 What makes you apply for a job like this, and what makes you skip it?
Is it the budget?
The job description?
Or the client's history?

Write your thoughts in the comments.

📢 Why 107 Upwork Proposals Were Ignored & 7 Got Opened!

Your Upwork Stats Tell You Everything If You Know How to Read Them.
114 proposals sent.
Only 7 opened.
107 never even seen.

Let that sink in.

That’s not just 107 proposals lost.
❌ 107 strategies rejected.
❌ 107 freelancers’ connects gone.
❌ 107 attempts buried before they even had a chance.

So the real question is which proposal does the client actually open?

🟢 On Upwork, visibility comes first.
If your proposal doesn’t clearly show a SOLUTION, BEST MATCH, and Strong Positioning at the top, it disappears.

I see freelancers daily saying, “My proposals aren’t being viewed.”

A few days ago, I ran a #poll most people voted the same problem.

But here’s the truth.

✅ Before a proposal gets a reply, it must first earn a click:
⤷ Read the job description properly
⤷ Catch the client’s pain point
⤷ Write uniquely in your own words
⤷ Keep it short and direct

⚠️ The biggest damage today? Random #AI_Proposal tools.
⚠️ Everyone is selling AI Proposal Writing Tools.
⚠️ Everyone is copy-pasting.
⚠️ Everyone sounds the same.
⚠️ Clients skip sameness.

Write naturally. Even imperfect grammar is better than robotic perfection.
Clarity beats complexity.

Now look again at 107 unopened proposals.
Who benefits?
❌ Not freelancers.
❌ Not beginners.
❌ Not fresh profiles.

Only the Upwork benefits.
Connects are expensive. They’re savings.
Most freelancers can’t afford to waste them.

📢 That’s why I always say #Proposal_Writing is not step one.

The real order is:
⤷ Profile optimization first
⤷ Client-finding strategy second
⤷ Proposal writing third
⤷ Then communication
And track every proposal you send.

If the jobs you apply to don’t hire anyone, your strategy needs fixing.

📢 How many of your #Upwork_Proposals are viewed in a month?

📢 Sometimes the best decision on Upwork is not applying!

I was scrolling my feed when a Shopify job caught my attention. Banner design, customization work, and long description looked detailed and serious.

🟢 On the surface, everything seemed fine.
🟢 Reasonable client history.
🟢 Clear task outline.
🟢 Freshly posted.

But when I slowed down and actually read it, things changed.

❌ Heavy workload.
❌ Budget: $10.
❌ Posted 1 minute ago & within that same minute, 3 invitations were sent.
❌ All three freelancers rejected.

That was my signal.
✅ Here’s what beginners need to understand. Not every detailed job description means a serious client. Sometimes the description is long, but the intent is short.

⚠️ Your #connects are your savings.
If you waste them on low-budget, low-intent jobs, only the platform benefits.

📢 So what should you focus on instead?

✅ Study hiring history carefully
✅ Compare workload with budget logically
✅ Track whether the client actually hires
✅ Observe how fast they invite and how freelancers respond
✅ Analyze behavior not just the description

Sometimes a project looks big, but the intention behind it is small.

📢 This is why I always say: #Client_Finding_Strategy comes before proposal writing. Most beginners jump to proposal templates.

But if the client is wrong, even the perfect proposal won’t convert.
🟢 First learn to filter.
🟢 Then learn to pitch.

If you apply to 10 jobs and none of them hire anyone, it’s not bad luck. It’s a strategy problem.

Would you spend your #connects on this, Yes or No?

Follow me for practical Upwork insights. If you’re struggling and wasting connects, comment "Client Finding" and I’ll share the strategy with you.

How a Fresh Upwork Profile Turned Views Into Contracts!

This is my student’s Upwork Stats from the first month.
No History, No Reviews, just a new profile entering a very competitive marketplace in Shopify Development Niche.

● 21 proposals sent.
● Only 5 were viewed.
● 2 interviews happened.
● Both converted into contracts.

For a completely new profile, this is a WIN, but for an #established_profile, yes these numbers would be weak.

⚠️ Context matters, and that’s the lesson here.

Why do these results happen?
On #Upwork, getting a proposal seen is not luck. It’s a mix of client-finding strategy, profile trust, and proposal relevance.

When a proposal is opened, the goal is simple:
Match your skills + Expertise + client pain points + a clear solution fast and clearly. Short, relevant, and positioned proposals convert.

❌Long, generic ones don’t❌

📢 Common beginner mistakes I see every day
⤷ Copy-pasting proposals from AI
⤷ No clear positioning of skills
⤷ Poor or incomplete profile optimization
⤷ No understanding of client-finding strategies
⤷ Fake reviews or fake data (this hurts the algorithm)
⤷ No video introduction
⤷ Input fields and testimonials are not updated

⚠️ A weak #Upwork_Profile reduces visibility before your proposal is even read.

🟢 The right order for beginners
⤷ Profile optimization first
⤷ Client-finding strategies second
⤷ Proposal writing strategies third
⤷ Communication skills last but consistently

This sequence matters, especially when you have ZERO reviews.

📢 A Review on Fiverr That Made My Friday!

Today I received a review that reminded me why I started freelancing in the first place. It’s never just about fixing a website or completing a task it’s about solving stress for a client, bringing their vision to life, and making their business better than yesterday.

When a client leaves great feedback, it means you did more than deliver work.

You listened carefully.
You communicated professionally.
You respected deadlines.

#Freelancing is truly a one-man army journey where your communication, work ethic, and commitment define your reputation.

I’m grateful to every client who trusted me. Your satisfaction is my real success. 🙌

📢 For freelancers working on Fiverr:

✅ Competition is high, consistency wins.
✅ Keep optimizing & updating your gigs.
✅ Write unique titles & descriptions, no copy-paste.
✅ Don’t let AI do everything, add your human touch.
✅ Gig video is a must for trust building.
✅ Use a unique, scroll-stopping thumbnail.

🟢 Stay consistent, keep improving, orders will follow.

When did you receive your most recent review on Fiverr?

📢 Why on Upwork Proposal Writing & Communication Matter More Than You Think!

20 Proposals. 4 Views. 2 Interviews. 2 Hires.

At first glance, many people will say:

⚠️ “Only 4 proposals were viewed? That’s weak.”

I disagree.

Let me explain why this data actually tells a very powerful story, especially for beginners on Upwork.

This is a completely fresh profile
● No previous reviews
● No work history
● A fresh profile

Out of 20 Proposals sent:
✅ 4 were viewed
✅ 2 interviews happened
✅ 2 Got Hired

⤷ That’s a 50% Conversion from view → HIRE.

🟢 Proposal NOT being seen is a different problem
That can happen because of:
● Late applications
● Weak client-finding strategy
● Stronger competing profiles

But my question to every beginner is always the same:

When your #Proposal is SEEN… why does nothing happen next?
↳ No reply.
↳ No chat.
↳ No call booked.

That silence means weakness in only two areas

⚠️ Proposal writing style
⚠️ Communication skills

If a proposal is opened and ignored, it’s not bad luck.
It’s bad messaging.

In fact, #weak_stats look like this:

⚠️ 20 proposals sent
⚠️ 18 seen
⚠️ 4 interviews
⚠️ 1 hire
Because visibility without conversion means your words are failing you.

⚠️ Common beginner mistakes I see every day:
🔴No client-finding strategy
🔴 No profile optimization
🔴 Generic proposal writing
🔴Weak communication skills

Many beginners keep talking to ChatGPT...but never learn how to talk to clients.

✅ Beginner tips (focus here):
⤷ Improve proposal structure and clarity
⤷ Work on client-finding strategies
⤷ Optimize your profile for trust
⤷ Emphasize communication skills

Remember:
📢 Clients rarely open new profiles

But when they VIEW, your Proposal #must_convert.

How Upwork Algorithm Sees your Profile!

I talk to Freelancers every single day. At my office On social media Especially here on LinkedIn & almost every conversation starts with the same question:

🟢 “My Upwork Profile is not ranking. Why?”

So today, instead of theory, let me tell you a real story.

A freelancer walks in.
Skills are there.
Motivation is high.

⚠️But invites?
⚠️Profile views?
⚠️Proposals seen?

🔴 The problem wasn’t Upwork.
🔴 The problem was clarity.

So let’s break it down simply, honestly, & practically.

📢 How the Upwork algorithm actually works.

Upwork doesn’t guess, It reads signals.
⤷ What activities are happening on your profile.
⤷ How many proposals are being viewed.
⤷ How many convert into conversations.
⤷ How many profile views you get.
⤷ How many impressions & clicks you receive.
⤷ Your client relationship score.
⤷ Your job success score.

When these signals align…

🟢 Upwork gives a green signal.
🟢 Your profile gets pushed.

No magic. Just data.

📢 But it all starts with #profile_optimization.

This is where most beginners and even experienced freelancers fail.
⤷ Headline not clear.
⤷ Expertise not positioned.
⤷ No solution mentioned.
⤷ Description copied, generic, AI-generated.

⚠️ Common mistake I see daily.

People pick 2–4 competitor profiles, paste them into ChatGPT, DeepSeek AI and say:
“Make it unique.”

❌ That’s not positioning.
❌ That’s duplication with better grammar.

When your #upwork_profile, proposals, activity, and positioning speak the same language…

🟢 Upwork listens.
🟢 Upwork trusts.
🟢 Upwork promotes.

📢 Now I want to ask you honestly.

Is your profile ranking right now. Drop a screenshot of your stats Comment below. Or DM me directly.

If your profile is stuck & you're wasting #connects

⤷ Comment “ROADMAP” and I’ll break it down step by step!
