‪@Upwork‬ has quietly introduced a smart update that many freelancers were waiting for.

Now when you open a job post, you can see:

🟢 “Actively Recruiting” tag
🟢 Proposal count at the top
🟢 Faster understanding of whether the client is serious or not

This is actually a positive move for freelancers.

Because one of the biggest problems on Upwork is, Freelancers wasting connects on inactive or low-intent clients⚠️

Now, if a client is actively hiring, freelancers can target jobs more smartly and improve their client finding strategies.

But here’s the ground reality:

⚠️ #Fake_Review sellers and fake account networks can still misuse this
⚠️ Some people create fake jobs, move conversations to WhatsApp or social platforms, and manipulate reviews/payment systems

So don’t trust the Tag Blindly.

→ Too many emojis
→ Extra stories and fluff
→ Trying to look impressive

But look deeper…

🔴 Your title says something
🔴 Your description says something else
🔴 Your portfolio shows something else

That’s actually worse than being ignored.

Because it means one thing:
You got their attention… but you didn’t convert it.

Here’s the real psychology:

Clients don’t reply when they feel risk.

🟢 The moment they open your proposal, they quickly check:
🟢 Do you understand my problem?
🟢 Is this written for me or copied?
🟢 Can I trust you with my work?

If any of these feel weak… they move on.

No reply. No feedback. Just skip.

Most freelancers lose connects here because:

To be honest 😁
