Good afternoon everyone,
I had a very early appointment in Boston with my Endocrinologist. When you check the Map App it says takes 1 hour 17 minutes to get to Boston. Ya right Haha! No way! We left 2 hours in advance and literally got there with no time to spare. I donβt like Boston traffic. Next time we will leave even sooner. I was so worried Iβd be late.
Unfortunately my Thyroid Nodule has grown. It wakes me up from a sound sleep chocking. Very unpleasant. He is having me stop the Methimazole because itβs not helping and I have side effects. Racing heart, gained 20#, always freezing, fatigue and hair loss. The itching and rash have stopped. So Iβm happy to be off this drug starting tomorrow. The weight gain really bothers me as most of you know Iβm very active, riding long bike rides each week and I hike 4-5 times a week along with the gym.
Now I have to have a Biopsy praying itβs not cancer. If itβs clear then he will have me meet with another specialist for a procedure. Iβm not going to read too much about procedure yet. I did have a Thyroid biopsy a number of years ago thou. I need two clear biopsies for the procedure so this will be the second one.
As much as a pain it is to travel to Boston itβs worth it. So blessed to have the best Endocrinologist and Oncologist. ππ»
Have a wonderful afternoon/night/day

Both Emma and Conner have been with us since very early this morning. We took them to the Fishery in North Attleboro. Had such a great time. The Main side gate was locked due to the Government shut down. The trails across the street were opened. Lots to see and so much fun.
Very happy to see 13 species of Wildflowers blooming in November and 6 Insect Galls.
Also saw FOS Woolly Bear Caterpillar. They are so cute.
Then we stopped at Sculptured Park in Franklin. Such a cute place. They loved the Fairy House and Huge Bear Statue.
Hiked total 3 miles. Excellent for a 2 and 4 year old. They have a ton of energy. And now are running around the back yard. Wish I had that much energy. LOL π

Whatβs for dinner?
Butter Chicken & Broccoli with
Homemade Naan.
Naan is very easy to make and so delicious. Itβs the quickest Yeast Bread that I make. Takes 1 hour and 15 minutes from start to finish.
Have a good night everyone.

After our hike I made a Cranberry Orange Nut Bread. This is the recipe I won my Husband over with many many years ago. He still is always so happy when I bake it for him. π€β€οΈ
Started out chilly 44*F on our hike at Franklin State Forest. The sunshine by the high tension wires felt wonderful.
Happy to see Witch Hazel and Winterberries. Only saw 4 species of Wildflowers. They are nearly all died back. It sure was a great wildflower season for me.
Saw the biggest Bacteria Crown Gall. Rhizobium radiobacter: This is the updated scientific name.
When most people see a gall on a plant, they think of insects as the cause. Crown gall may resemble insect galls but is a disease caused by a bacterial pathogen, Agrobacterium tumefaciens - old Scientific Name. The bacterium enters the plant through a wound, and the plant forms a gall in response to this infection. Crown Gall is actually an odd plant disease. The bacteria cause uncontrolled cell division in the host plant, resulting in gall formation. Also saw 3 Insect Galls Species.
These trails are not in the best shape. Lots of loose rocks, mud, puddles, erosion and roots. One side dirt bikes are allowed. We didnβt know there was an event for the dirt bikes. We met the man who was in charge of it. A nice friendly guy, he said 200
Dirt Bikes were coming. We saw about 50. They were all very careful passing us and we did go up on the edge to get out of their way. While it was very loud at times, it was nice to see so many people out having a fun time. And God knows we all need more fun in our lives. π€©
Have a great week everyone.
