Was cold, windy and rained on us on our hike this morning. Hey we are from New England we can handle it LOL. 😂 ☔️💨

Checked out a new trail system in Southborough Massachusetts 4.04 miles. I was thrilled to see Witch Hazel Way,, I have never seen so many Witch Hazels. Was awesome. I have been videoing clips at different seasons of the Witch Hazel to add to a Future Wildflower 101 Episode.

Logged 20 wildflowers. A beautiful place that we will definitely come back to explore some more.

Today I baked an Oatmeal Seed Bread. The Bread is Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Egg Free, Sugar Free, Nut Free, no added Oil and No Flour. It’s a hearty dense bread that tastes delicious toasted with a slice of Cheddar Cheese. I serve along side my Sprout Salads. I did video each step. At some point I’ll edit the video and post it.

Nice hike in Franklin Ma today at Charles RiverBend Loop Trail.

Found a friendly Garter Snake. Also FOS Jack in Pulpit. Gorgeous day. Now my Sweet Emma and Lil
Bud are here for a few hours. We are about to roll logs and dig for worms.

So many cool things we saw on our Hike at DelCarte Conservation Area Franklin Massachusetts. Saw FOS 6 Northern Water Snakes. Also caught my FOS Garter Snake.
Conner was thrilled to see the MBTA train 3 times. I was happy to see FOS Northern Paper Wasp. I enjoy watching them.

A gorgeous Spring day with so much to see. Wish we could post more than 5 pictures.

Took it real slow on my Hike today, 3.3 miles took forever as I had to keep stopping to let my heart rate slow down. Not sure if it’s the Thyroid medication making my heart race. This is all new to me. I just want to feel “normal”!

Happy to see FOS Yellow-Rumped Warblers. Such a beautiful bird.
Also saw a small Garter Snake, Winter Firefly and one of my favorite insects a 6 Spotted Tiger Beetle. And Yay 19 different Wildflowers. Pictured here is the Sweet Bluets aka: Quaker Ladies. A very exciting time of year.

What a nice surprise I had today. While on a walk in the Fairy Forest I saw Northern Spice Bush Blooming. It was the first time I have ever seen it bloom. You would think with the amount of miles and hours that I spend in the woods I would had seen it bloom. Yay so happy.

Lindera benzoin (commonly called spicebush) common spicebush, northern spicebush, wild allspice, or Benjamin bush is a shrub in the laurel family. It is native to eastern North America, growing in the understory in moist, rich woods.

Such a delightful happy yellow flower. 😍

Harvest day. Yummy Spicy Purple Radish Sprouts, my Favorite are Clover Sprouts and the Kale Sprouts add a delicious flavor. We will have a nice healthy Salad for lunch today.
