We know that God is the Healer. But Jesus instructed His disciples to heal the sick, not to pray for the sick. Oftentimes we pray for a miracle and when we don't see breakthrough, we accept it as the sovereignty of God. If we don't see the miracle we are contending for, guilt and shame will not help us. But getting alone with God and seeking Him for His answers will. We are on a lifelong journey of learning how to host the Presence of God and walk in step with Him. We refuse to reduce our faith to what we have experienced and we raise our faith to God's truth and what He has said.

Do you know who is with you? Do you know who you belong to? Do you know that there is no situation you will ever face that God does not already have a solution for and will not provide for? Take a moment to meditate on God's faithfulness and recall to mind testimonies of His goodness, whether it be personal testimonies or stories from Scripture of time and time again where God cared for and came through for His people. There is no situation without hope. Our personal level of hope depends on whose voice we are listening to.

Sometimes you need to stop in the middle of your problem and remember who you are and whose you are. The concept of restoration in Scripture is so profound that we can actually be encouraged when we face difficulty, knowing that God WILL restore and redeem everything. When we remember and fill our hearts and minds with the testimonies of God's goodness and faithfulness, we cannot help but be filled with hope and joyful anticipation for what God will do in the situations we face.
