MY YOUTUBE JOURNEY

Year 2019, I created this YouTube channel out of boredom. I started uploading the videos I had in my phone’s gallery, connected with other YouTubers and before I knew it, I already reached monetization. This wasn’t created to earn. I just wanted to share the soopp many videos I have. But since I already reached monetization, who am I to not make the most out of it, right? Like, a ssomeone who’s not rich, I need some extra bucks for my wants.

Then came the pandemic, where people were all stuck at home. Not being able to freely roam outside plus the fear of the virus made me soooo anxious! Work from home set up doesn’t work for me. I have to step out of our house and do something outside. Creating content for this channel (with my pamangkins) during that time became one of the sources of my excitement. I am also blessed with supportive friends both on and off YouTube - they were so amazed of the first batches of videos I was able to produce. Funny because the videos were something far from being ‘professional’ looking. LOL. Until I finally got tired.

Fast forward, I came to the point where barely upload videos. I think many content creators experience this too. I let my neice manage my channel from time to time (reply and react to comments). My energy just couldn’t keep up with the demands of content creation. All I want to do on weekends, breaks, and non-working holidays is just to rest. But God is so good that even without regular uploads, my subscribers count reached 100K! 🥰 I got my SILVER PLAY BUTTON a day before my birthday! Whoa! 🫰

The whole journey is not easy. Content creation is noy easy. I swear! Magastos, puyat, pagod. And most people do not see the grind behind every page or channel.

Now, in as much as I would like to upload weekly, I just couldn’t because it is a bit hard when the spirit is willing but the body is weak. Not that I am sick or something, it’s just that I chose to take care of myself more now and just enjoy the days meant for rest without thinking of anything.

I hope I would be able to tell you soon through new videos on how I reached 100K, slowly but surely.
