Darkaside Band is a Papua New Guinea Metal Band that hails from the Island of Bougainville. The band is made up of five members - Lead Singer Joshua Mayum, lead guitarist Cyril Mayum, rhythm guitarist Wayne Maito, bass guitarist Elenas Serok, and drummer Kenneth Imako. We favor playing Trash and Nu Metal while incorporating traditional instruments thus creating Fusion music. We love to compose songs about Social Issues, Real life events, Places, and also make Awareness in our music. The Bands name Darkaside reflects the idea that while we are grounded in our Christian faith we acknowledge the darker side of human nature that exists in a world full of struggle.
