I am… really struggling to figure out what to do with this channel. Overall, my life is actually going pretty well. School is proceeding… okay, I’ve been consistently writing a thousand words a day on my novel, and my girlfriend and I are happier than ever. 3M, Sarah, Jon, Sylvi, me, and the rest of the horde have a ton of fun behind the scenes and at this point the discord server built for streaming has become far more of a hangout and socialization spot. But when I look at this channel, it’s a graveyard of cancelled series and broken dreams, the bones of somebody I haven’t been for years strewn across it.
I’m struggling to build up the motivation to do anything for it, anything at all. It’s already essentially dead. The most recent video is an April Fool’s Joke that I had no part in creating, and even before that the only content for months is ancient recordings through an awful mic. Even my streams have petred off.
—Streams—
I feel little to no motivation to stream any of the games I have been, and have been playing Dark Souls on my own for weeks now, making so much progress that coming back now would be… incorrigible. It’s beyond refreshing to be able to just play video games for me, listening to music instead of off-topic banter, able to watch video essays in the background without focusing on chat. It’s not like my streams were any good or at all frequent even when they were going on.
—Content Warning—
Friends and I have been playing a ton of Content Warning recently, which is kinda the perfect content creation game. I’ve been considering uploading a compilation of all our surviving clips to the channel, but on top of everything else my headset I’ve used for years just crapped out on me and I’m having to get a new one, meaning the audio in these clips is horrible, as I’m using the mic attached to my bluetooth headphones. Let me know if you’d wanna see those despite the horrid audio.
—Idiots—
The production for The Idiots’ SMP Season 3 is well underway. We’re waiting on 1.21 to play it, as the breeze, wind charges, and mace all play semi-substantial roles in the season. The gimmick this season is wilder than ever, and Thinair and I are so freaking excited to get it done.
—Realm of Realms—
The Realm of Realms Season 2 Episode 8 is almost entirely recorded, and has been for months. There are two scenes remaining, and unfortunately Cameron has been out of the country for a bit recently. Our ambitions are to finish The Realm of Realms Season 2 by the end of May, and there are currently a lot of discussions behind the scenes about changes to be made before and during the third season, in terms of actors and their roles and the overall plot of the series. Most of it was written literal years ago, and we’ve evolved far more as creators, writers, and people since then.
—Conclusion—
I don’t know what’s going to happen to Finzombie. I want to work on the channel, but not enough to do any actual work on the channel. There are projects that are nearly finished that have sat on the backburner for literal years, and I think you may be able to tell why motivation for those would be tough to build up. I am also bursting with new ideas, but new ideas are so, so hard to actually build momentum for. The Finiverse Files died after one episode, and I have literal dozens of videos just sitting unreleased (A podcast about lying, a review of hit internet cartoon Murder Drones), and I just have no clue if any new ones would have any actual staying power.

Currently, this is as much of a battle plan as I can assemble, with NO PROMISES:
—April/May: Finish Recording and Editing Realm of Realms Season 2 Episode 8, begin discussions about Realm of Realms Season 3.
—May: Consider the creation of a new series, something likely more audio-drama/Creative Writing based.
—June/July: Get to work on recording Idiots SMP Season 3. With any luck, we can get it all recorded and start editing by the end of July.
—June/July: Release an aforementioned new series, or even just a laid-back Let’s Play of some game or another.
—August: Release The Idiots SMP Season 3. Begin recording the Realm of Realms Season 3.
—September: Release the first episode of the Realm of Realms Season 3, if everything works out.
There’s also a chance I’ll lose interest tomorrow and never touch this channel again.

PLEASE tell me what you think below. I have no idea what you people actually like, because as much as I love cerebral creative projects, those take a ton of work and if they don’t get any acknowledgment I may as well not do them. I’m struggling not to let myself be swept up in the whims of the masses, but I think hearing the masses out may be helpful, just this one time. So do you people want to see a continuation of the Realm of Realms? Do you want to see more Idiots’ SMP? Do you just want Let’s Plays?
I have no idea where to go, so please help.

While editing the next episode of the Idiot’s SMP (It’s coming back!!!) I am astounded at how horrendous my mic discipline was. It’s poppy as hell, peaks far too much, and I for some reason was *chewing gum* for an entire episode?!?!

I’m still publishing the remainder of this season, and despite the audio issues I think it’s quite good (I completely forgot my plot in Episode 3… true deviousness there). But do know that when season Three eventually comes around, my mic will be a thousand times better.

The second episode of Season two comes out in 90 minutes! In the meantime, catch up by watching the long-forgotten pilot here:
