Goldwing Rambler – European Motorcycle Travel
Long-distance touring across Europe without motorways.
Scenic roads. Structured stages. Intentional travel.
Riding a 2024 Honda Goldwing 1800, I document multi-day routes through Alpine passes, coastal landscapes, and lesser-known regional roads — designed for riders who value depth over speed.
This channel follows a stage-based touring framework, evolving into full-time travel.
Here you will find:
• Camp-to-camp route design
• Real-world Goldwing experience
• Long-distance touring insights
• Scenic roads beyond the motorway
• Practical route planning
This is not fast travel.
This is deliberate motorcycle exploration.

Thanks for following the journey.
Goldwing Rambler
Planned route for the upcoming stages.
Camp-to-camp touring, no motorways, no toll roads — just scenic routes through the countryside and mountains. Each stage is designed around the ride itself, not just the destination.
I’ll be sharing sample GPX routes along the way so you can follow or adapt them for your own rides.
Full GPX files and stage details will be available in the Facebook group:

This is how the journey is built — one stage at a time.

Well as it is winter I fitted the bash plate from traxxion today. It was an easy fit and parts fitted perfectly. So hopefully this will provide some protection for the engine as I will be also on some gravel roads during the trip. The other thing I have done, I lowered the rear break pedal a few mm to increase comfort during the trip and have a more relaxed position on the foot.

Hi everyone, I thought I share some pre-pack images. Just playimg around with the best packing option for the up coming trip. As I will be on the road there are a few things to take. Forgive the mess in the shed but its raining outside as winter is coming and its the best time to ensure everything has its place.
Raven (The name of my Goldwing) is now fully packed. The side and top case is fully packed and on the rear seat is the tent, airmatt, sleeping bag and so on.
I will do another packing to see if i can optimise more but so far so good.
At the moment I am waiting for a skid plate for raven (just to be on the safe side) and once i got it I will show you what it looks like.
So the next jobs are:
1. Fit the skid plate
2. Oil & filter change
3. Run another pre-pack on the gear
4. Get shot of everything I have except what I take with me.
5. Insurances and so on what is needed. My be a pain as i don't have a fix address once I leave, So will see how to sort this.
Hopefully you enjoy this new channel and if you do please subscribe as another goal is to hit the 1000subs needed for the channel as I also need to generate an income, even it is small amounts but every little helps.
Thanks
Peter

Hi all,
In this video I show you a simple fix for the Phone Storage Lid on the 2024 Goldwing so there is no rattle. I also Show you how I solved the WindRider seat cover which has to much material in the front of the seat.
Also my new locations for the insta360 X5 camera to bring you the best shots and videos.
This is all in preparation to my long term trip. I will be on the road for a few years and living on the road with the Goldwing.

Hi folks, today I received the @Traxxion camera mount for the 2024 Goldwing. The items after order arrived quickly to switzerland.
The fitting was easy and simple. The part fitted perfect and I trimmed the plastic myself using a dremel.
You can see on the images how I shaved the plastic part, I wanted to keep that pit next to the mirror housing and also retained the top clip the way I done it.
So next I will do the right hand side the same way. After that I will test both sides using the insta360 X5, lets see how the camera and the mount from traxxion work together 😀.
So what du you think of it, let me know.

Hey everyone – welcome to The Goldwing Rambler! 🏍️🇪🇺
This is the very beginning of the channel – so no videos yet (I know, tragic 😅), but they’re coming soon!
I’ll be hitting the road on one of the best touring bikes in the world – the legendary Honda Goldwing – and taking you along for the ride as we explore Europe together. Expect winding roads, amazing landscapes, local food, unexpected detours, and probably me talking to my bike more than I should. 🤷♂️
📸 I’ve dropped some pics of the bike here to officially introduce the star of the show. (She already demands premium fuel and her own camera angle.)
If you're into motorcycle touring, road trip vibes, and a bit of adventure, go ahead and subscribe now – even if there’s nothing to watch just yet. Trust me, it’s coming.
Let’s get ready to roll through Europe – one country, one croissant, and one tank of gas at a time.
