Last year, I released a video highlighting the many potential red flags with carbon offset monitors—devices that promised revenue for your solar generation but screamed "scam" from the outset. The aim of the video was to hopefully save people from spending their hard-earned cash into these devices.

Fast forward to today: Rowan Energy, a company peddling such a monitor for years now, has basically vanished. Their blockchain (supposedly managing all those carbon offset certificates) was shut down at the end of last month, and the associated $RWN crypto token has tanked over 90% in value, leaving investors with worthless hardware.

Some are saying the signs point to a classic rug pull—including deleted social media, stopped payouts, and no sign of founder David Duckworth.
