ALRIGHT! It’s been a crazy start to the month, so let’s talk 🐰
For current events, that Nintendo Switch 2, eh? I’ll have a video talking about the Direct & pricing for the console/games tomorrow (first image: thumbnail preview) but I’m excited for Nintendo’s new era of gaming 😬
Between the Podcast to Daredevil/Nintendo Direct reactions, I made 43 shorts this past week which might be why I’m a little tired LOL. I’m still happy I’m pushing myself to get shorts content done alongside my normal YouTube videos (more OG shorts coming soon™️).
Starting in March with Daredevil: Born Again, I decided to do reaction content on each episode and take the best “react” moments for shorts. My hype and excitement for this show was (and still is) over the moon and I’m loving it so far. Sure, there’s improvements to be made and issues I have with it but it’s still better than several other Disney+ shows (full review of the series after ep. 9?).
I have never done react content despite how popular it is but I think as shorts/TikToks, I like it. I personally wouldn’t make a full length video on just reactions (especially with the legal hurdles I would have to go through with DD:BA) but for shorts, I’m cool with it.
I thought about doing it for HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 but I think I’ll pass on it for now. DD:BA S2 though, whenever that premieres next year, I will be there ‼️
Moving onto Main Channel content, I posted three reviews this month including BAKERU, Lost Records Tape 2, & Split Fiction. I’m glad I’m pushing myself to keep these reviews coming but I always feel like I can do more. Obviously, that’s not realistic at times but with the Switch 2 now in the newscycle & more games releasing soon, I’m excited for the future.
My next review will be Sly 3 (PS5) as a nice trip down memory lane before I head back into Lost Records for Tape 2. After that, probably DD:BA Series Review into Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. That’s on the docket for now before the Switch 2 madness really starts to kick in.
Thanks for reading as always and watching my content! I truly appreciate any and all support. Keep touch on social media (Twitter/X, Bluesky, Threads/Instagram) for more frequent updates. Until next time, take care! ♥️

Hey y’all! 👋 🍀 I know I’m a bit late but let’s talk about what’s to come in March.
With the new release of Split Fiction, I plan to play it this weekend with my girlfriend and hopefully get a review out ASAP. Right now, I’m still working on my review of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage Tape 1 which has been delayed due to my busy personal life at the moment.
It’s been a hectic few weeks and mentally draining, so I apologise for the delays on content 😅
Throughout February, I made some videos I’m very proud of and kind of out of the norm for the channel. First, talking about Marvel’s Wolverine about it being announced “too early” was an idea I formed on my way to MAGFEST and I’m glad the video performed well! Although the MAGFEST game hunting video had to get scrapped, at least this idea came to me on the trip.
Second, my video on Daredevil: Born Again and my excitement for the series. I knew the video was going to be a risk because it’s not gaming related but I’m glad I created it. It’s something I’m super passionate about right now and I’m currently uploading reaction clips from the episodes on TikTok/Instagram/YT Shorts. I can make another video about fan reactions on the series so far (good & bad) but I think I’ll wait for a few more episodes to release.
Lastly, I FINALLY uploaded my review of BAKERU to the channel. It performed a lot better than I expected. I honestly expected like 15-30 views but it has 80 at the moment, so thank you!
I was definitely slow at completing the game/writing about it and I’m trying my best to “lock back in” and get reviews/videos out on a more consistent basis.
Outside of Lost Records and Split Fiction, I don’t have anything else planned for videos at the moment but I’m sure I’ll find topics to make videos on. I will consider suggestions in the comments if you guys have anything you wanna see me cover. Live Streaming is 100% still on my mind but it’s a matter of finding the time.
Anyways, thanks for watching my content as well as reading this post. Follow my socials @tvsonicgaming on everything to keep in touch throughout the month. I’m trying to post more consistently on Twitter/X 😎

Hello there! It’s time for the Monthly Text post for February 💘.
First, Live Streaming has been a ton of fun! Although I want to be more consistent about it, I know my IRL stuff always comes first and whatever big video(s) I have planned. I’ll try to stick to once a week/once every other week, five hour stream sessions.
📺 Missed a stream? I keep my VODs on a separate channel, @tvsonicVODs
Streaming & Recording Raw Gameplay isn’t working due to the Gameplay being fragmented. I’m currently playing BAKERU off-stream as my next review and possibly Hi-Fi Rush before the new March releases.
The two big videos I did in January, Spider-Man 2 & Life is Strange Retrospectives, were only possible because I ditched streaming for a few weeks + started LiS in early December. I’m super proud of those videos and I’m glad they hit some spot in the algorithm to get +870 views each 📈
Coming back to MAGFest at the end of January was super fun. The convention is more or less the same from when I visited in 2019 but I remember more Retro Video Game booths there. I will always enjoy seeing and discovering new artists but I couldn’t do my Game Hunt video planned for the event. It’s all good though, the pick ups video is a fine substitute. Unsure what my next convention is but it likely won’t be until the Summer/Fall.
For February, I want to get my BAKERU review out before the month ends. In addition, some Marvel videos I have in mind and scripting out already. Keep an eye out on those 😏
I’m thinking about revisiting some games and trying to complete them 100% on stream since I don’t need the RAW gameplay. Finishing up side quests and whatever else in my save file. Thinking about Pikmin 4 and Alan Wake 2 NG+? Follow my socials (@tvsonicgaming) for when I finally decide what to do 😂
Thanks for reading and supporting my content as always. Take care and I’ll see y’all very soon 😎

Hello everyone! I won’t be chatting too long since I did most of that during the 2025 Update Video. If you didn’t watch it, I’m here to announce I’m making a large effort to Live Stream more in 2025. I intend to do at least one 4-hour Live Stream every single week (ideally two) but let’s see how long I can keep to that promise 😅
In the Update Video, I said I would be playing BAKERU and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 but after rethinking it, I’m sticking to just Spidey 2 for consistency. BAKERU will happen next week though, so stay tuned on my socials for a schedule every Sunday.
For Spider-Man 2, I’ll be live Monday and Friday @ 11AM ET & Tuesday and Thursday @ 2PM ET on YouTube and Twitch. I hope to see y’all there 😁 💖
edit: sticking to Spidey 2 for the stream for consistency. BAKERU will happen another week

OMG it’s December already?!! The end of 2024 is upon us which means one final Update Text post for the year! 🎄 ☃️
First off, I want to say thank you for stopping by and supporting my content in any way throughout this year. I’m very happy with the amount of reviews/videos I posted in 2024 and I hope to achieve more in 2025. I just turned 26, so I need to look towards my future more which means videos MIGHT take a backseat but I will do everything I can to keep a presence online.
Anyhow, let’s talk about November. A lot less eventful than October for sure but I still attended the Limited Run Games x Shopify event & reviewed Life is Strange Double Exposure! The LRG pop-up event was pretty dope. I will forever be grateful for the invite. Life is Strange DE is a very polarizing game in the series for a number of reasons which had me excited to check it out and review it myself. I felt like I covered everything in that video while talking about the super spoiler-y details in the second half of the review.
The Nintendo Switch Collection was always in the cards for Nov. while the newest Black Friday pick-ups video was spontaneous. I wanted to get a video out on my birthday but didn’t really have plans for it. I’m always more than happy to spend money on video games for a video, especially at Retro Island Gaming 😂
As for December, I already have the schedule planned out for myself. A Sonic 3 Movie Review will definitely happen on Dec. 21st. Mario & Luigi Brothership is taking a LOT longer than I expected but I should have it out on the 14th. Lastly, my Top 10 Games of 2024 video will be my final video of the year on the 28th.
Again, thank you to everyone who’s watched & supported my content in 2024. I definitely started to slow things down a bit last month but I think it was a well needed “reset.” I’ll talk to y’all soon ♥️

We’re back! A new month means another text post!! This is a length-y one, so buckle in!
Throughout October, I was STACKED with games to play and talk about. Started the month with Epic Mickey: Rebrushed which was nice to finally check it after nearly 14 years since the original launched.
Then, the Spider-Man 2 PC announcement confirmed no DLC for the game. This is a topic I’ve been following ever since the Insomniac leak happened earlier in the year. It’s another discourse surrounding Insomniac’s Spider-Man universe that fans will not stop talking about. I decided to make a quick 5 minute video because I’m in the minority on the topic. There’s a lot of nuances in the on-going discussion but I feel like I got nearly all my points across in the video + podcast #149.
I would obviously love more Spider-Man content but Insomniac Games never announced any DLC officially, so getting excited over ‘leaks’ was never going to end well.
I’m very happy I was able to get Sonic x Shadow Generations done as soon as I did. It’s largely due to the game being short + I purchased the PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition which granted three-days of early access. I didn’t go *super* in-depth on Sonic Generations but everyone wants to know how good Shadow Generations is anyway because it’s new content. 100% in my Top 3 Favorite Games of 2024 for sure.
Now, let’s talk about [REDACTED]. I was approached early in October to talk about it. After watching the trailer, I decided to check it out because I was given about 19 days to play it before the embargo lifted. The first time this has ever happened to me which makes it super exciting. Even for smaller indie projects, I’m never given code super early alongside a date/time to freely discuss.
I am very pleased with how my Medium article, YT video, and short version came out. I’m also very surprised I’m one of the only reviews on YouTube? I thought this game would get more coverage but most people are either looking at my review or Legacy Gaming’s.
However, because I added [REDACTED] to my schedule, I couldn’t check out Pumpkin Jack in time for Halloween. I think it’s a good thing I didn’t dive into ANOTHER platformer game after playing like five in a row. I’ll try to talk about it next year or whenever I get the chance.
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is on the docket but not for November. Maybe December because I want to finish it before the end of the year. My copy arrived super late in the mail anyway, so I’m glad I had [REDACTED] to keep me busy. Currently working through my Mario Party Jamboree Review and then, Life is Strange Double Exposure.
Thank you for your time as always and I’ll catch you guys next month with the *final* monthly text post for 2024. Until then ✌️ ♥️

🎃 Hello again! A few days into the new month means another monthly update post!
Throughout September, I put myself on strict deadlines which in turn, stressed me out LOL
Granted, I put more on my plate than I needed to. The Sly 2 Retrospective video was fun to do but timing it with the 20th Anniversary date did put a lot of pressure on the process. I took a code for Gimmick! 2 which was unplanned but I thought it’d be a cool indie game to cover. Finishing the game took a lot longer than expected but I’m happy I was able to play & cover the game within two week’s time.
In addition, doing the impromptu video on the PS5 Pro was a must because everyone was talking about it 😂 BUT I also had some points that weren’t being made in other articles/videos I watched.
After publishing my Astro Bot review, I’m still working on my Epic Mickey Rebrushed Review. Then, October is STACKED 😭 Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, Mario Party, & Sonic x Shadow Generations are all on the table. Pumpkin Jack will also be on the docket this month to celebrate Halloween.
Wish me luck to get everything done because I’m going to need it 💀 Thanks for reading as always and I’ll stay in touch on my socials for more updates/what’s going on. Cheers!

Another month, another monthly update post!
In my last update, I emphasized my desire to maintain a schedule for my videos. I’ve had a “schedule” since 2012 but recently became more strict with myself in reaching deadlines.
I stuck to it for the MOST part. I say this because I originally planned a review for Epic Mickey on the Wii before the remaster drops later this month. IRL stuff got in the way and I wasn’t able to make the video. I didn’t want to drop it but we’re in the holiday rush for games now. From now to December is CRAZY for game releases. I will play the remaster when it launches in a few weeks~
I will try my best to stick to what I want to cover going into the rest of the year but I’m not going to kill myself over it if I’m unable to get Game Reviews done in a timely manner. I’m going to enjoy the journey rather than worry about the destination 😌
In August, I uploaded my R&C Size Matters review, LI Retro Gaming Expo VLOG/pick-ups, & the Sonic x Shadow Generation LRG Collector’s Edition debacle. These are some of my favorite videos of the year as I feel like I’m getting better and better in terms of editing, scripting, etc. Happy with how they turned out and possibly more video game conventions in 2025 🙏
As for September, I have a few reviews lined up that I’m pretty excited about. I finished Akimbot over the weekend and plan to review it for this Saturday. The script is about 50% done.
In addition, I plan to cover Epic Mickey Rebrushed by the end of the month alongside a retrospective of Sly 2: Band of Thieves. The game’s 20th anniversary is approaching, so I’m excited to revisit this title.
And that’s it for this update. Again, if you’re still reading, thank you so much! I really appreciate any and all support I receive on social media. Until next month, take care everyone! 🤩 🫶

Almost halfway through the month, so let’s talk about what I’ve been doing since early July!
After the TooManyGames video, I decided to lay out my schedule for the rest of the year of what videos I want to make and try my best to follow it. Game releases are jam packed in the Fall, so I even took days off work to commit extra time to those new releases.
So far so good on this new video schedule. I had to swap my Wii Collection video and R&C Size Matters between weeks because I needed more time for that review. Juggling between IRL stuff and my online work is still tough but I’m having an easier time balancing it all compared to a few months ago.
The reviews I pumped out in July/early August (Daxter, TMNT Splintered Fate, and R&C) I’m very proud of. TMNT and R&C I edited the Friday before the upload, so I’m going to try and stay on top of the reviews to not stress out of getting the done the night before 😭
I attended the LI Retro Gaming Expo over the weekend and I’m 100% doing a video on my pick-ups/adventures there. In addition, my next slate of reviews I’m very excited about. A Wii game that’s getting a remaster soon, a new indie game called Akimbot, and the 20th anniversary for my favorite game of all time.
I need to work on a few short form reviews for TikTok and live streaming has been on my mind a lot more as of late. My internet has been on the fritz these past few days, so I’m hoping it’s stabilized now.
Anyways, thanks for reading again and I’ll see y’all soon ♥️ ✌️

Hey everyone! I’m back with another Monthly Update Post! I hope everyone in the states enjoyed the holiday 🇺🇸 🦅
Throughout June, I feel like I unintentionally took a step back from pumping out videos as much as I wanted. The Retro Island Gaming video did take a lot out of me, juggling between IRL stuff and getting that project done in time for Saturday.
No excuses though, from now until the end of the year, I want to put more effort into content creation than ever. Maybe going back to New Videos EVERY Saturday but we’ll see 😉
TikTok/Short Form content is also going to be a focus too. I’m not stepping away from usual YT videos but I should create more original short content aside from the podcast clips.
I finally got the God of War Ragnarök & Valhalla Review done LOL I feel a massive burden off my shoulders after I uploaded it. I’m happy I kept my promise and reviewed it.
I noticed I purchased a ton of video games online and in-person, so that’s why I did the Pick Up video before taking off to TooManyGames. In addition, I was able to squeeze in my review of Sly 1 on PS5 before driving to the convention too.
I’m so HAPPY with the response and reception from that review. For once, one of my more timely reviews did more than 100 views and I couldn’t be happier. If any more early PlayStation platformers get a PS4/PS5 release, I’ll be there (Daxter is next, don’t worry).
Lastly, TooManyGames was a ton of fun! The +5 hour drive there and back was NOT but once we settled into the hotel and attended the convention, it was nice. I’ll probably tell more stories and my overall experience on the upcoming podcast episode #141.
A vlog/pick-up video is going up tomorrow (July 6 @ 10AM EST), so keep an eye on that to see what I bought. July has a few game releases I’m keeping an eye out for reviewing purposes.
Until next month, thanks for reading as always and I’ll see you guys soon ♥️
