Something of a part two to previous single ‘Absorbing Imagery’, Verb T returns with ‘Distraction’, a front-footed address of the powers that be and the suffocating stranglehold that grips us as we WATCH, LISTEN AND CONSUME.
Where ‘Absorbing Imagery’ is a little more passive in its observations, ‘Distraction’ plays out like a psychological thriller; Verb T and producer Vic Grimes fighting back against the damaging impact algorithms have on our lives; diminishing our sense of self, our plans, what we find attractive, but most significantly, keeping us in a state of fear.
‘Distraction’ is more than just a call out song however, Verb T describing ways to combat the barrage and staying true to his path as he goes.

Reuniting with Canadian producer Vic Grimes on the follow up to their 2023 LP ‘The Tower Where The Phantom Lives’, the duo leave the traditional ‘rapper + producer’ stereotypes at the door on an insanely adventurous LP; Vic Grimes expertly soundtracking Verb T’s low fantasy across 26-tracks steeped in suspense and intrigue.
