Being a week away from Valentine’s Day made me think about all the years I spent WANTING to be in a relationship and being so unhappy with not having that opportunity at the time…⁣⁣Looking back I can say “I get it, Ana. You wanted to be loved so bad” ⁣⁣But also… Looking back I can easily understand why being single made sense in those moments.⁣⁣A relationship is made of two healthy individuals and for many years I wasn’t one! I kept seeking love in other people that only God could give me.⁣⁣The more that I learned about and experience God’s love in my life, the happier I was every single Valentine’s Day! ⁣⁣It’s been a few years of me celebrating with my friends, having a “Galentine’s Party” instead 😋 But it’s been years of being hidden and being pruned by the Lord. ⁣⁣I appreciate my singleness season because it taught me so many things about myself and God. (and it still does) ⁣⁣I know it’s cliché to even say these things… But have you ever looked at how incredible your life can be when you’re single? Have you really taken advantage of it or do you spend your Valentine’s Day crying over what you don’t have yet?⁣⁣

Hi friend! In the month of September I will be doing a 30 Holy Girl Challenge to help me grow closer to God and you can join me on this journey as well!

Here are the rules👇🏼

✨ Read the Bible before social media every day

When we start our day with God instead of social media, we can stand firm in His Word and have a better day😊

✨ 30-min workout (4x a week)

You can do more if you’d like, but do a minimum of 4 workouts every week. It’s really important to take care of our temples and working out can really honor God.

✨ Daily prayer walk with sun exposure

Exposing your skin to the sun every day, especially in the mornings will help you generate the right hormones needed to sleep earlier, and it will give you Vitamin D! But more importantly, use this time to talk to God and pray.

✨ Journal letters to God daily

Journaling has really allowed me to do a lot of self-reflection and get closer to God by journaling my feelings and thoughts and giving them to God.

✨ Read 5 pages a day from any book

Find a Christian book that helps you with this specific season of your life. If you want recommendations, ask me about the season you’re in in the comments down below.

✨ No alcohol, 2 cheat meals allowed per week

We want to be able to communicate with God and have His Spirit dwell in us, let’s avoid drinking this month and let’s do our best to eat as clean as we can!

✨ Spend time in community once a week

It’s time to make Godly friends and surround ourselves with other Christians. If you don’t know what this looks like… Start by going to a local church and say hi to someone! If you’re already part of a group make it a priority to attend.

How To Find Christian Friends 🌷🤍

I’ve been so blessed with such an amazing community of men and women who love me and who I can go to whenever I need absolutely anything.

But when I started going to church and when I gave my life to Christ I didn’t know ANY Christian friends for a while… It wasn’t until I started praying for friendships, serving at church and being more intentional with the people God brought to my life that I finally found all my friends! 🤍
