हेपेटाइटिस क्या है?
• हेपेटाइटिस (Hepatitis) लिवर (यकृत) में होने वाली सूजन (Inflammation) है।
• यह मुख्य रूप से वायरस (A, B, C, D और E) के कारण होता है।
• समय पर इलाज न मिलने पर यह लिवर सिरोसिस, लिवर फेलियर और लिवर कैंसर जैसी गंभीर बीमारियों का कारण बन सकता है।
• थीम: "Hepatitis: Let's break it down" (बाधाओं को दूर करें)
प्रमुख आँकड़े (2024)
• 28.7 करोड़ लोग हेपेटाइटिस B या C से प्रभावित।
• 45% नवजात शिशुओं को 24 घंटे के भीतर हेपेटाइटिस B का टीका मिला।
• 13 लाख लोगों की मृत्यु हेपेटाइटिस B और C से हुई।
उद्देश्य
• हेपेटाइटिस के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना।
• समय पर जांच, टीकाकरण और उपचार को बढ़ावा देना।
बचाव
• हेपेटाइटिस B का टीका उपलब्ध है।

• 1967: डॉ. बारूक एस. ब्लमबर्ग ने HBV की खोज की।
