Frustrated by the cost of traditional housing, our liveaboard adventures began when we took a leap of faith and bought a dilapidated houseboat sight unseen in 2021. We renovated it & called it home for the next 2 years. We then used the knowledge & earnings from our 1st home to build our current boathouse in 2023. As our day jobs allow, we’ve continued to build/reno floating houses for others ever since!
Through the good, the bad, and the ugly... We are absolutely in love with this life on the water. No matter where you live, our adventures will be enjoyed by those who appreciate thinking outside the box, working hard, & playing hard! 🌊

It’s that time of year again! ♻️🌊 We’re doing things a little differently this year… Instead of a 1-weekend event, we are extending the cleanup to a full MONTH long opportunity! If you're local/semi-local to our area... Read on! 👇
In addition to the Oct 3rd cleanup day for volunteers without boats, all boat owners on Fontana are encouraged to participate “DIY” style whenever they have the time Sept 10-Oct 10! Just ask your marina for the trash bags and gloves we’ve provided, pick a cove in your harbor to clean, and bring your trash back to the dumpsters we have staged at the ramp! Ask your marina operator for assistance with any particularly heavy loads (waterlogged styrofoam, etc) that may require heavy machinery. 🚜

So sorry to say no full length video today (we did share a couple new Shorts this week, check 'em out!) - it's been a busy busy week of work and these recap/finished product videos after a reno take quite a bit of extra time to produce. On an unrelated note, also wanted to share this flyer for a trash & woody debris cleanup happening this weekend in that Old 288 area of Bryson City that we frequented during our stint at the Roundhouse. Excited to announce our 2025 Fontana Lakeshore Cleanup! 🥳 We'd be honored to have a handful of folks from our Youtube community here come volunteer if you live nearby. Although we certainly don't expect anyone to travel, if you're inspired to do so and make a trip out of it, our Roundhouse is currently open for those dates (airbnb.com/h/brysoncityroundhouse), and/or we'd be happy to share some recommendations for other places to stay nearby. Happy happy Earth Day y'all!! 🌎 No matter who you are or where you live, we ALL have the opportunity to leave our corner of the Earth better than we found it. There are so many ways to have an impact! Personally, picking up trash is one of our favorite ways to do our part. Waterways always take the biggest hit when it comes to litter.
If you want to get in on trash cleanup efforts where you live, consider "adopting" a mile of road (look up the program thru your state's D.O.T.), participating in local river/beach/park cleanups, or just taking a grocery bag along with you while you walk the dog or run errands! Donating is also a great way to make an impact if you have the means. You can donate to our Fontana Lakeshore Cleanup using the link below, or for global litter pickup efforts, personally we love supporting 4Ocean (you can buy cute jewelry, useful home products, etc WHILE supporting ocean cleanups)! ♻️
