Subject
Concern Regarding Long Gaps in Class 12 Humanities Exams
To,
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
Respected Sir/Madam,
I am writing this message to express a genuine concern on behalf of Class 12 Humanities students regarding the current examination schedule.
This year, the exams have been stretched over a very long period with too many gap days. While gaps are usually meant for preparation, excessively long gaps have created the opposite effect. Students are struggling to retain what they studied earlier, and it is becoming difficult to stay consistent with the same level of focus for such an extended duration.
Subjects like History, which are scheduled as the last exam, are being heavily affected. By the time the exam arrives, many students feel that they have forgotten a significant portion of what they had prepared earlier. This leads to stress, frustration, and a feeling that their entire year’s hard work is not being properly reflected.
Students have worked sincerely throughout the year, learning every detail with dedication. However, due to the prolonged schedule and continuous exam pressure, much of that effort feels wasted.
We respectfully request CBSE to reconsider such long exam timelines in the future and design a more balanced schedule that helps students perform at their best without unnecessary stress or loss of retention.
We hope our concern will be understood and taken into consideration.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
A concerned Class 12 Humanities student
