I love everything about the Outdoors. The sounds or lack there of, the scents, the sites, the Plants & Animals etc etc .
I especially love how I feel while I'm enjoying a trip out into nature. I love walking, hiking, backpacking, Trail maintenance & Trail building, kayaking & Canoeing. Sometimes I might even get out for A fatbike adventure.
I'm Also a Avid Lover of Rocks. More so Agates, Carnelian & Fossils but I love getting out for a day of Rockhounding. I may not be the best at Identifying all rocks but I love learning & finding them.
I also love camping. I love camping during all 4 seasons. I love camping in normal tents, hot tents, hammocks and even bushcraft shelters.
I also love photography & videography. I'm most excited when I get to film a wild animal. But I also love a great view, a picturesque landscape and a good sunrise or sunset.

I spent a lot of time on the river this season and found a bunch of amazing Carnelian and other rocks and minerals. I get asked what I do with all that I find and the first thing and maybe my favourite is to tumble them. I have 3 barrels going this year and this is the result of the first two. I think lots turned out almost perfect and some not so much. Some rocks tumble very well and some just don't. But they sure do clean up nice. And don't worry these tumbling result video's will not replace the regular outdoor video's, just an added bonus.

New Video and the whole Crew is in this one. Linda, my 2 pups and myself head down to the Rocky Mountains for an amazing 4 nights of canvas tent camping( 1 night in a hotel). From A very cool stop in Westlock to view a Farm Tractor museum to the Rocky Mountain House, Hwy 11 and Nordegg area. Down to Banff and Lake Louise and up to Jasper and Hinton and back down to Hwy 11 once again to end this part of our vacation. We visited lots of cool waterfalls, walked some amazing trails, I drank to much espresso( not enough really), saw lots of amazing sights and wildlife and camped in some amazing locations along the way. My wife and I both agreed that this was one of our favourite vacations. We did much more than this but this is what I decided to film. Trying to balance filming while prioritizing family time.
Anyways truly hope you enjoy this one ass much and I did.
Don't forget to comment a happy birthday to Linda in the video comments. I will show her each comment which I'm sure she will enjoy.

My apologies for the delay. I had experienced a few issues with the editing software that I use and also my wife, 2 pups and I spent 5 nights camping down in the Mountains. Just got home from that amazing trip.
So here it is. Over the long weekend I spent an amazing day camping on the Hangingstone river. I camped at a point on the river that I've wanted to camp at since I first ventured to this location 3 years back. I had an amazing time cooking, eating, enjoying a small fire, coffee and cigar. Those things I had all planned but something unplanned happened that blew my mind. I unexpectedly found the number 1 bucket list rock that I could find in my area.

I was checking rock in my tumblers tonight to see if I can move them up to the next stages. Some of them are looking pretty awesome and a lot of them I'm happy with and will move them up a stage. Some to stage 3 and some to stage 4. But before I do that they get cleaned overnight in borax and water. I will really inspect them tomorrow and move them up if I'm happy with them. Last year I would move them all up no matter what but this year I'm taking my time with them. Can't rush a good thing after all.

New video is out my friends. This one was a good one and I almost didn't do it. I hiked from the Highway to a pole line 13km down the Hangingstone River. I started at 5am and finished just after 6:30pm. I worked hard for this one but enjoyed every step. Lots of finds and I found 2 amazing banded agates. But this one is not only a rockhounding video its so much more than that....

Over the weekend my lovely wife Linda and I took our Good Friend Sandhu out for his first ever rockhounding trip. The weather was not on our side but what a great time we all had. Lots of laughs and some good old fashion fun. Toss in some cool rocks and that made for an amazing day. Enjoy the video.

Well I made a mistake. I cut myself while working out at the shelter. I was holding a knife while working....A big no no. I had a very inadequate first aid kit that was not accessible. I made a mistake but immediately learned and then reacted to that mistake. I made myself a personalized kit. New video is up now regarding that entire situation. Don't be to hard on me. I know what I did wrong. Hahahaha
