Two-Tone INS-Style Cookies 🍪—Who Could Resist!
[→] Ingredients
200g butter
400g flour
1 cup powdered sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
…
[→] Instructions
Sift the flour and powdered sugar into a large bowl and mix well.
Add softened butter and rub with your hands until it resembles crumbs. Pour in the beaten egg and knead into a dough (be careful not to over-knead).
Divide the dough into two equal parts. Add cocoa powder to one part and knead until well combined.
Wrap each dough in plastic wrap and chill for 15 minutes.
Take out the dough, place it on a floured surface lined with parchment paper, and roll each into a thin sheet about 30x25 cm. Chill again for 30 minutes.
Cut each dough sheet into three strips. Brush a little water on the surface of each layer and stack them alternately (plain + cocoa). Chill for another 15–20 minutes to set the shape. (Note: a striped rolling pin was used to create groove patterns.)
Use cookie cutters to cut into your favorite shapes.
Place on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for 25–30 minutes until lightly golden on the surface.

Chocolate lava cupcakes:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup whole milk, at room temperature
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a large bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and milk until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Whisk in vanilla extract.
4. Add dry ingredients to chocolate mixture and whisk until just combined.
5. Stir in vegetable oil and chocolate chips.
6. Divide batter evenly among cupcake liners.
7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are set, but centers are still slightly jiggly.
8. Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 1 minute before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
- Don't overbake, as this will cause the lava centers to solidify.
- If you want a gooier center, bake for 10-11 minutes instead.
Enjoy your delicious chocolate lava cupcakes!
