Just realized I haven’t shared any art on here in awhile, so here’s a few recent(ish) pieces for y’all’s consumption. These are all from April-early May. This past spring I’ve really been inspired with digital art but I’m starting to get back into traditional art again. Okay so here’s a little breakdown for each piece :P

1. The first one was the most time consuming by FaR (I believe the tracked time is around 16 hours), and I love it but also my eyes are tired from looking at it so much. I really wanted to experiment with colored lighting and a slightly moody feel, which, again, I think I captured but my perception is slightly skewed from looking at it too much. I (think?) I really like the character design and how they both look kinda distracted/preoccupied. Lmk what vibes it gives off to you.

2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PIECE AHHhH. Okay so basically I got a color palette in my head with soft greens and peachy pinks and I KNEW that I had to make a character around it. The pose and background were both aided with Pinterest references, but the rest is original design. I love the jewelry and background and outfit and hair and guitar (even though I forgot the strap oops), but yeah I just love it lol.

3. This is my first truly faith-based drawing which I made around Resurrection Day. I felt really inspired to create it as something that represented Jesus’s love for us. I wanted to use really bright, dreamy colors for the landscape, which turned out to be my favorite part. Overall I had so much fun making it and I love the message behind it!

Here’s what I worked on last month ❤️
Idk how the upload quality is gonna turn out but oh well lol.
I’ve been spending a lot of time with digital art, practicing backgrounds and rendering, and I’m really happy how these turned out! The first one is my most recent, and I don’t really know where I got the inspiration for it, except that I wanted to look vintage-ish. For example, I tried to make the outfit resemble 70’s style.
In the second one, I really just wanted to experiment with the lighting and express a sort of fairytale feeling. I usually make my characters super complex, but I really liked how simple I drew this one in terms of design.
For the third one, it was kinda just a random idea. It didn’t take very long (I mean, compared to the others), and I really like the mood and storytelling behind it.
So yeah, hope you enjoyed this long post lol 🫶😛

I just realized that a year ago today Spark shut down. It’s absolutely crazy that it’s been that long.
I’ve been thinking a lot about my old Spark friends and I really appreciate that I’ve been able to keep in touch with so many of them, even if I don’t post much anymore. I just wanted to make sure I gave a thank you to all the people reading this who used to follow me on there. It really encouraged me to know that people cared about my art, and helped me grow in a lot of ways. Even though it’s probably gone for good, I hope I’ll always #rememberSpark and the wonderful artists that I’ve met. 💙💛🩵

I saw some people doing this and I thought it’d be fun 😛

1. “If you could only own one book series, what would it be?” This is actually really hard, either Anne of Green Gables or The Wingfeather Saga (my reading taste is very diverse okay).

2. “Rain or Snow?” I CANT CHOOSE. I’ll just say rain lol.

3. “What’s your eye color?” It’s like a greenish hazel color.

4. “Best book you’ve ever read?” THE BIBLE 📖✝️

5. “What’s your love language?” Definitely quality time, but gifts are great too.

6. “What is most important to you in a friendship?” Reliability, honesty, and openness.

7. “If you could only eat one potato chip flavor for the rest of your life, what would it be?” GREEN ONION AND SOUR CREAM.

8. “What’s the last thing you ate?” I’m not 100% sure but I think it was chili lol.

9. “How would you spend an ideal weekend?” Spending time with family, drawing, and going to church.

10. “How would you rate your last video?” Hmmm like a 6/10. It wasn’t my favorite edit-wise, but I’ll give it extra points considering all my artwork is in it.
