Last week I hosted 40 agency founders in Portugal.

It was our seventh Agency Mastermind, on a private estate outside Lisbon. Guests ranged from $30k/month to $1.5M/month.

Everyone had to bring one thing with them: the single biggest constraint in their agency.

We collected them before anyone flew in, built the sessions around the answers, and spent the final day working through them in the room until everyone had a plan.

Here's 3 nuggets i've been reflecting on since:

1. Every agency is now a technology company


AI is pushing the price of the work down. The agencies keeping their margin are the ones building internal systems instead of adding headcount.

2. Nobody cares about you (until you make them)


Will Pérez, lead filmmaker to Steven Bartlett, showed us they drip feed real stories into every piece of content they put out to build trust.

3. In-person is magic for making deals


At dinner, I watched an agency make $50k+ in deals with another attendee. That's more than 8 times the cost of their ticket.
