Three boys from Miami's Overtown neighborhood, Jusiah Jones (12), Nelson Nunez (13), and Xavier Tyson (15, was 14 at the time), have been indicted as adults following a grand jury decision in connection with the alleged r*pe of a 12 year old girl.
According to police, the boys allegedly took the girl to a couch at a community garden called the Green Haven Project after she was walking home from a friend's house.
Nunez allegedly s*xually ass*ulted her while Jones and Tyson held her down.
When she screamed for them to stop, Jones allegedly shoved rocks in her mouth to silence her.
The ass*ult reportedly lasted about 30 minutes and ended only when the boys heard her father calling her name nearby.
Jones and Nunez were ordered held without bond following their adult court appearances. Tyson's attorney maintains his client's innocence.
The Green Haven Project issued a statement condemning the incident and saying an opening from nearby construction allowed unauthorized access to the garden after hours.

The Disturbing Trend of “Grave Disrespect” Posts — And Why It Must Stop
A new and deeply troubling trend is spreading across social media: people taking photos or videos while mocking, insulting, or posing disrespectfully at someone’s grave — often targeting young people who passed away far too soon. One recent post, which has now gone viral, shows an individual standing over the headstone of Austin Matthew Metcalf, a teenager who died in 2025, while posting hateful captions meant to provoke reactions. This single image has sparked a wave of copycats, each trying to outdo the last in shock value. What began as one person’s cruel attempt at attention has now become a disturbing online pattern — and it needs to stop. Why This Trend Is So DangerousIt weaponizes grief. Families who are already suffering the unimaginable loss of a child are being re‑traumatized by strangers using their loved one’s grave as a prop. It rewards cruelty with engagement. Social platforms unintentionally amplify these posts because outrage drives clicks, comments, and shares. It encourages copycats. The more attention these posts get, the more others try to replicate them for clout. It normalizes dehumanization. When disrespecting the dead becomes a meme, empathy erodes — and that affects how we treat the living too. This isn’t “dark humor.” It’s harassment of grieving families, and it crosses every moral line. How Social Media Fuels the Problem. Platforms are built to reward engagement, not ethics. Outrage spreads faster than compassion, and algorithms push whatever keeps people scrolling. That means:Shocking content gets boostedComment wars increase visibility. People chasing attention see an opportunityThe result is a cycle where cruelty becomes currency. The Human Cost Behind the TrendBehind every gravestone is a real person — a life lived, a family grieving, a community hurting.
Austin Metcalf wasn’t a meme. He was a son, a brother, and a young man whose life ended far too early. When people turn his memory into a joke, they’re not just disrespecting him — they’re inflicting fresh pain on everyone who loved him. Why This Must End Now. This trend isn’t harmless. It’s not edgy. It’s not funny.
It’s a reflection of how far some corners of the internet have drifted from basic humanity.
Stopping it requires:Calling it out when we see it. Refusing to share or comment on posts that exploit the deadReporting content that targets grieving familiesSupporting those who are being harassed. The internet doesn’t have to be a place where cruelty thrives. We can choose to push back. A Final Word. This trend is disgusting, harmful, and deeply disrespectful — and it should never have been allowed to gain traction. The people posting these images may think they’re being edgy or funny, but what they’re really doing is causing real-world harm to real families. It’s time for platforms, communities, and individuals to draw a line.
Mocking the dead is not content. It’s cruelty.

Iowa Trooper Responds to Semi in Ditch, Finds Passenger With No CDL Was Driving While Actual Driver Slept — Driver's CDL Was Also Suspended; Passenger Told Trooper 'Just Wanted to Go Home'
IOWA — An Iowa State Patrol trooper responding to a semi-truck partially in a ditch along Interstate 80 found a situation that went from bad to worse — a passenger with no commercial driver's license had taken the wheel while the actual driver slept in the sleeper berth, and when troopers checked the actual driver's credentials, his CDL was suspended too.
According to ISP's Commercial Motor Vehicle Unit, the passenger told the trooper he had started driving because he "just wanted to go home."
Numerous violations and out-of-service orders were issued following the inspection.
"Subsequently, they did not return home as soon as the passenger had hoped," ISP said.
