TO ALL SUBSCRIBERS & GAMECOCK "FAMS":
2023 - 2024 was certainly a wild ride!
An Undefeated, National Championship Season for the Gamecocks, a thrilling buzzer beating 3 pointer by Cardoso in the SEC tournament, among many other thrilling moments.
Then....there's YouTube:
After the last two 2024 NCAA Tournament games (NC State & Iowa) were initially blocked on this channel, after appeals to YouTube, now both games have finally been released for viewing here.
For me, the best part about that is... all seasons starting with the 2019-2020 season through 2023-2024 are complete on this channel, and are preserved here in their entirety, along with some key single games from seasons prior to 2019 (Like the first Natty from 2017).
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
Having said that, after going back and forth a lot, I have decided to no longer post every Gamecock WBB full games here as I have in the past, with perhaps a few exceptions.
There are many reasons for this, the main one being I can no longer invest the massive amount of time it takes to edit, and upload each game.
Many life changes led me to make this decision, along with the fact that YouTube's restrictions have made it more aggravating and difficult to post.
Also, there are many more channels now offering similar content than when this channel started, therefore there doesn't seem to be as big a need for my content as there was in the early years.
All previously uploaded content will remain for any of you who wish to return and relive old memories.
Even though every single game of the season will no longer be here, I still plan on uploading some of the special bonus videos, (such as the "SEC Insider", etc.) that pertain to Gamecock Women's Basketball, and may upload a few special full games here and there.
It's been a joy to be able to bring you the games all these years!
May God Richly Bless You All,
Robbie

Hi Subscribers and Fellow WBB Fans,
I pray you are all doing well and are enjoying this great Gamecock WBB season!
I just wanted to drop a note and ask one favor:
I am not asking this for myself or for the channel, but on behalf of other Fams that may not be aware of the content provided here or who haven't found this channel, and otherwise might not be able to view the games.
Here's what I'm asking... If you view any of the videos here, would you please hit the "Like/Thumbs Up 👍 button under the videos?
The reason for this is not to increase traffic for my channel, but as I understand it YouTube uses the number of "likes" to help others find the content.
In other words, the more that the "Thumbs Up" button is hit, the more they use that to make the videos more accessible and known to those who don't know about them.
This channel now has over 13,500 subscribers, yet, as an example, the UConn game has almost 65,000 views but the "Like/Thumbs Up" button was hit only 793 times out of 65,000.
This means it's less likely that people will see and be made aware our content, and will not show up as often in YouTube searches, and harder for those who don't know about this channel to find it.
Again, I'm not asking this for myself to drive more traffic here (My channel is not monetized so I gain no personal benefit from more views, other than knowing the content is appreciated), but just to help other like-minded people to more easily find the games.
It will only take a second of your time, and I'm sure the people who love the Gamecocks and Women's Basketball as much as we do, that find their way here because of more exposure, will be appreciative.
As I am!
Thanks,
Robbie

Hi everyone.
I've mentioned this before, but wanted to let anyone new to this channel know that when videos are first uploaded, YouTube will first process the videos in lower quality SD (usually 360p) and then the full higher HD quality will be available later as their processing continues.
This is on the YouTube side of things over which we content creators have no control, but it's done by them primarily for faster uploading.
So...if when a video first appears it seems in poor quality, wait a bit for when it shows up in better quality later.
I've seen this take anywhere from minutes to hours to fully complete.
And, for those who don't know, once any video is finally done you can click on the "Gear ⚙️" icon found in each video's screen, then on "quality" and it will give you the option to change to whatever resolution you prefer.
Many times, and depending on what device you're using to watch on, the resolutions will be automatically set to what your carrier/Internet provider determines, but you can change it to the highest quality allowed.
I hope that helps you to be able to view in the highest resolution possible, and if only low is a available initially, then just wait a bit, refresh and see if it automatically gets better, or if you can manually select a higher quality using the "⚙️ Gear" icon method described above.
Enjoy the games, and Go Gamecocks!

Hi Friends! Hope you are having a blessed 2024 so far.
I wanted to drop this note because I am aware that lately You Tube may be placing more/longer Ads during the game videos, not just at the beginning of each video as they've always done.
I'm not sure why the change as of late, but I wanted y'all to know that this is coming from You Tube and not my channel.
I do not own the original broadcast content, and I do not monetize (make money) from this channel, so I have learned that the copyright owners (usually E S P N) have the right to place Ads on these videos along with You Tube if they desire to.
Fortunately, the Ads seem to appear in the spots where normally there would have been commercials, usually during timeouts and halftime, (which I edit out of the original broadcast), and tend to only last a few seconds before you can skip them.
I'm thankful that so far I've been allowed to put these games up, so I can't really complain when the entities that allow this want to use them to their advantage.
I hope it doesn't interfere too much with your viewing pleasure, but as far as it stands right now, I have no control over it.
Thanks, enjoy the games, and Go Gamecocks!

Just wanted everyone to know that when videos are first uploaded to YouTube they initially get uploaded in SD by YT, then the processing for HD is done some time later.
This is a YouTube limitation and if you want to see the videos posted here in Higher Definition, wait a while then refresh the platform you are watching on and it should be better quality for viewing.
Also, there is a "gear" icon on most YouTube videos where you can select the quality level you want to view the video in once the HD processing is completed by YouTube.
Thanks.

Hi!
I just wanted to post some information concerning my continuing to upload the South Carolina Women's Basketball game for the upcoming 2023-2024 season. I am posting this because several of you who follow this channel have asked if I am planning to post this season's games.
First, let me say thanks to all of you who follow this channel. While I make no money/profit from this channel (nor do I ever intend to do so), it has always been a work of love/service to those who cannot easily view the games, and I appreciate all the loyalty from you! It helps me to be encouraged by knowing the hard work is not in vain, and it is still needed.
That being said, I wanted to say that my intentions are to continue posting the games for as long as I'm able and allowed to do so. But....
My family situation has changed (for the good) and I will evaluate my commitment to this channel as the season goes on, to see if I can continue to devote the time it takes to produce quality videos. My priorities have shifted (again, for the good) and as long as this does not detract from the more important things of life, I will try to continue.
Even if I see that it is interfering with other priorities, my first response will not be to stop posting, but it may affect how soon I can get the games up.
I've always tried to post as close to the end of games because I know that so many of you have no other way of seeing them and are waiting on the uploads. I will still try to do this, but only if it doesn't cause any negative impact on other, more important things.
When I started uploading the full game replays there were no other channels doing it, but over the years many other channels have come along doing something similar, and the games are not as hard to find as before.
If I see that more channels are uploading the exact same kind of content/edits as I do (full games as they actually flowed, not condensed versions, with TV commercials edited out) then I may discontinue posting at some point.
But for now, and Lord willing, I will start with the November 6th top ten matchup to be played in Paris against Notre Dame and then I'll see how it goes from there.
Again, thanks for all of the kind words expressed to me by those of you who loyally follow this channel along with the likes on each video. It lets me know y'all are still watching and enjoying the content, which is the only reason I do this!
May the Lord Jesus bless each of you abundantly, and Go Gamecocks!

After reading some of the comments on this last game I feel the need to remind everyone of the original community post I made when I first started uploading full games. (See Below)
Whether in a win or a loss, we can all try to be gracious, civil and perhaps show a little class in the comments. as stated below, personal attacks or ugly social commentaries are not welcome here. Some have already been removed.
Keep it about basketball!
Thanks
Original post concerning this....
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Just a note:
Inappropriate, hateful, personal attacks directed towards the Gamecock WBB team, their Coaching staff, or any other team and their staffs will NOT BE tolerated here.
While I may not agree with every method employed by everyone, I can respect the differences, and disagree agreeably without resorting to hateful and personal attacks.
Particularly, name calling.
These are young women, and whether you agree with every choice in their lives or not, it gives you no right to call names, judge their motives or slander their characters.
I can disagree with, state my opinions without hating those I disagree with, and without ugly, hateful comments.
Having said that, if you leave a comment on any of the uploads on this channel that is unkind *personally* toward an individual member of Gamecock WBB, or the team as a whole, they will be removed.
If you persist you'll be blocked from this channel.
As a last resort, if those type of comments are made here continually, I'll be forced to go private with this channel, and only allow the people who want to view this channel for it's intended purpose:
Sports Entertainment!
I would hate to do this because the only reason the content is placed on this channel is so people who otherwise might not be able to see games can enjoy. I don't want to limit that in any way for anybody.
This channel is primarily about basketball, not a place for you to vent every frustration you have about people and their views. There are many other places for that, but this isn't one of them.
In conclusion, this is NOT concerning any personal attacks towards me, just those directed at the team(s). I'm a big boy and can handle what comes my way as I've learned that criticisms, right or wrong, will come if you stand for anything.
But, I've also learned not to hate those who may criticize, or to be unkind and return fire with spiteful personal attacks.
I would respectfully suggest you do do the same, wherever you may engage with those you disagree with.
Thanks for your understanding in this matter.
Enjoy the games,
Robbie.
