Hi! I'm Patrik, and I'm a wildlife photographer and filmmaker from Slovenia. Through this channel, I will take you along on my journeys out in nature, finding, photographing, and filming wildlife.
I've been photographing since I was 13 and, in recent years, have become more interested in wildlife. Soon after, I also started doing videos and recording sounds, so this YouTube channel is a great way for me to use all my knowledge and experience to make enjoyable videos for you.

If you discovered my channel through one of my Kingfisher photography tutorials, then I'm sure you'll like my new video as well. It's on the topic of photographing sand martins, charismatic and agile small birds. The tutorial walks you through two approaches, one suitable for any gear and skill level, and the other one geared towards those with more experience. I hope you'll check it out.

When I made the first kingfisher photography gear video, many of you asked me for tips on how to achieve good results with less gear, so I decided to dedicate my latest video to this topic. I hope you find it useful.

This weekend I was helping with the surveying of the Corn crake (Crex crex). We tracked down three males and recorded their calls. You can listen to the recording on the short video that I just posted or on my Instagram: @patrikinnature.
The night was looking peaceful and pretty quiet when we spotted bear footprints crossing the road and disappearing into the tall grass. The wet footprints dried up pretty quickly, meaning we missed the bear by only a few minutes.

We just reached a new milestone. I know that 2000 subscribers might be a small number for many, but to me, it's unimaginable that 2000 people are already following my wildlife photo adventures. Thank you for watching my videos, commenting, and sharing your experiences with me.

I will be able to share more details about the projects with you in a few weeks. Also, a new video is coming in about a week! Stay tuned.

On Tuesday, we were surveying the presence of the Eurasian curlew (Numenius arquata) on local marshes. It was very fun to observe them and do some good at the same time.
