Welcome to the channel! I’m Cedric Crumbley — your Northeast Houston real estate guide and proud U.S. Army veteran.
After serving 20 years in the Army, I transitioned into real estate with one mission: to make buying, selling, investing, or relocating to Northeast Houston simple, informed, and stress-free. I’m licensed with eXp Realty, hold an MBA from the University of Houston–Downtown, and I’m the author of two books: Proven Sales and Recruiting Methods and The War of Military Transition.
When I’m not filming neighborhood tours or breaking down the Houston market, you’ll find me reading, traveling, learning new skills, and helping others grow.
If you’re ready to make your next move (especially if you’re a veteran or relocating to Northeast Houston), I’m here to guide you every step of the way. Let’s make your move a confident one.

Cedric Crumbley - Houston Texas Real Estate
An older gentleman came to my open house yesterday. The house didn’t fit what he was looking for, but we ended up having a good laugh.
He shared a bit of wisdom. Two gems he learned from his grandfather.
“Pay cash for everything. If you need a loan, that means you can’t afford it.”
A bit hard to do, in my opinion, but anyhoo. His second piece of advice had us both in stitches.
“Never marry a woman for her beauty. If she’s a mean person, one day the beauty will be gone, but the mean person will still be there.”
*I cleaned it up a bit. His version was not suitable for kids.

For years, a woman would cut both ends off a pot roast before placing it in the pan. Her husband asked why. She explained it was because her mother did it that way.
The husband asked his mother-in-law, and she said, "My roasting pan was too small for the whole thing."
The wife, with a perfectly adequate pan, had been performing a useless step.
We often follow traditions without understanding the original reason.

Told my neighbor I have to walk my dog when not too many people around. She doesn't get along well with others.
He said, “That’s what I have to do with my wife.”

A friend invites me to a business event. I'm hungry to win some business, so I accepted. Told my friend I don't drink, just so there wouldn't be any misunderstanding.
He looked at me and said, “I don't drink either. Don't even drink coffee.”
Ok, I get not drinking alcohol, but not coffee.
I can give up a lot of things. Coffee has to stay.

About two years ago, my wife’s car wouldn’t start after she’d dropped off our daughter at school. I hurried over to help, and sure enough, the battery was dead. I called our insurance company, and they sent a tow truck our way. Everything seemed fine until a huge, bright pink tow truck pulled up. It had 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗬 𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗦 plastered on the side.
My wife took one look at it, threw her hands up, and walked away, done with the situation. I couldn’t stop laughing. It was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen.
When I asked the driver how he got such a name, he chuckled. He wanted something catchy, something to turn heads. And the pink truck? Just part of the branding.
My wife didn't appreciate it much. But, the branding was spot on. I'm still telling people this story years later!

Sent this to the homeowner that stood me up today. Curious if they’ll give me a ring. Most times it takes a few of these attempts to get a meeting.
I learned about the empty donut box method from a dude name Dale Dupree.
Used a few of his methods in the past to book meetings with C-Level executives back in the software days.
Used to send:
- Flashlights 🔦
- Balloons 🎈
- Books 📚
- Videos 🎥
Believe it or not this helped book meetings with hard to reach executives.
One attorney actually walked out a meeting to take my call.
Today people are waiting for something different to catch their attention.
It worked in the software world. Let’s see if it’ll work in real estate. 🏡

I’ve been noticing an uptick in remote workers looking for homes. Times are a-changin’.
To remain competitive in selling your home, take note, old chap.
With remote work on the rise, homebuyers want more than just bedrooms.
They’re now seeking an extra room for a home office. The way we live and work is evolving, and so are the spaces we need. Adaptability is the new must-have in today’s housing market.
Sellers are from Mars, buyers are from Venus.
We gotta get these two planets aligned.
