Mix Coffee is a project we’ve wanted to start for a long time, and I’m so thankful to have these two amazing/intelligent/thoughtful ladies on board. What started as a discussion group for another podcast we all love (it’s all the rage!) made us realize we
actually have a lot more to say…Leslie is an Anthropology and Korean Studies graduate from Missouri, US, while Ally is an anthropology PhD student from Bucharest, Romania. I’m always amazed by how much passion they have for my country/culture, and even more knowledge than myself, who was born into it. I bring the native Korean perspective to this global trio as we explore different nuances and aspects of Korean culture we find most interesting. working on some rebranding for this channel after the next few videos. the channel hasn't really been growing, and soeun in seoul now seems limiting for what i want it to be, but it still has a good ring to it? at the same time i don't really want to only stick to korean content. i think the peak of this channel were my video essays and i still want to have discussions on film, philosophy and culture. stylistically my inspiration is @pameluft on IG if you get my vibe. like if her profile was a YT channel, with some added elements like literature and Korean culture, that would be my goal.
