Here’s a look at the lip+cheek colors launching this quarter on the Artist Birthday (January 17th). Bare is the perfect brown nude and I love nudes because they give you a natural looking makeup and I specialize in natural makeup. But I can’t dismiss Tiger Lily because oh my she’s a beautiful orange red that’s going to complement warm skin tones (especially green eyed). Audrey is the perfect Undereye corrector because she’s very light and sheer. And well Lovespell looks a lot like plum and plum has been my go to for awhile. Which colors are you picking up?

‼️ Facial oils and the occlusive myth ‼️
Facial oils are all the rage, and they can be a great way to hydrate your skin and protect it against oxidative damage. But there’s a catch because not all facial oils are occlusive. Read on to learn more.

You'll see these facial oils promoted by the "experts" as being occlusive and that they will lock in moisture. This is actually probably false depending upon the oil they are promoting.

Most facial oils are actually emollients and don’t “lock in moisture”.

So where do they go in your routine? Emollient oils like rose hip, jojoba, marula, Moroccan oil should applied before your moisturizer in your routine since they aren’t sealing anything in.

🌟 If your are looking for a true occlusive oil you want rare occlusives like squalane or macadamia nut oil which will go after your moisturizer. 🌟

If you want a true occlusive product I recommend Vaseline or Aquaphor in the evenings and if you are wanting hydration during the day consider an emollient facial oil like rose hip oil.
