Based In Maine post 10 is a channel about anything and everything from North East States. My day job was lawn care but now i do, Home Demo, Residential Electrical. I make videos of unclogging culverts and drains, trains, experiments, machines, animals, trailcams, howto, aquariums, reviews, things I love and much more. I try to post weekly and off subject stuff. "I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, Unclog anything or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training". All my newer 2021 videos are with an osha trained partner for safety. I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have Been Trained In culvert inspections for years with private co) osha trained and it is pretty boring but if I see something cool I film it. Look at this beautiful spotted salamander I found in the yard tonight. Tonight is a very warm humid night.... Unusual for up here. But lots of creatures coming out for it. It's mating season, so these guys are everywhere.

It's that time of the year again..... Look at all those frog eggs. In just a couple short months, we'll be making videos, feeding them watermelon just like last year and the year before. Thanks for watching

This is what makes modern life possible. Every single log you see at this sawmill is getting ready to be turned into lumber, and every single one of these trees was planted by humans. None of this is old growth. Maine has 16 million acres of land owned by logging companies and another few million acres of property owned by private residents who allow it to be logged and replanted. The majority of what you're seeing is Balsam Fir and Spruce, taking about forty years to become big enough to cut down. Some of it is eastern white pine, which takes about seventy years to fully grow for maximum profit. Everything is cut down and replanted. You may ask why they stockpile so much, because the roads are too muddy until june to get more out of the wilderness, and this allows them to have plenty to continue making lumber. I'll have more detailed videos of these places soon. I've submitted inquiries to tour these properties.

Usually deer aren't so friendly. Maybe it's because they're in a group, they have more confidence. Or maybe it's just because it's so far out, they aren't used to seeing people. Usually, dear.Are out of there before you can even get the camera.

I thought this was kind of cool, how this pile of logs is insulating, the snow. They made this pile when there was still deep Snowpack. Now, there's no snow at all, but two feet of snow managed to survive under the pile

Early Warning Detection. Today, I got myself completely stuck twice, but the groundwater is melting the coating of snow, giving me early warning to potential soft spots. This time of the year, the top few feet of ground are thawed, but deep underneath is still frozen, acting as a seal stopping the snow melt from draining underground making hidden mud holes.
