My heart is overwhelmed with so much ENCOURAGEMENT and excitement for the future. I have been waiting in anticipation for a training like THIS for awhile now ... and the best part -- its ALL CHRIST Centered. Take Flight Academy 🫡🤍💙 #hopedealer
I've done a lot of trainings over the years when it comes to dealing with trafficking, DV, and sex exploitation, mainly because I was trying to understand a part of my life that had happened to me and others in close proximity...#education
It Wasn't until God delivered me and set me free that I realized what was going on. After being separated from " the life " -- I had to reprogram my mind and allow Jesus to come in to those deep areas ... full surrender and Obidence. #letspopulateheaven
So when I came across training like this as a leader, I got very emotional and very excited!!! This is my heart 👉🏼 full time ministry ✝️✝️✝️😭😭😭 #newidentityinchrist
As a survivor leader, I know that the only true deliverance in healing for a survivor of exploitation Is only Jesus and HIS love and feeling safe .... HE is going to set the captives FREE! #ambassador
P.S.....Luke 4:18: Jesus quotes Isaiah in the synagogue, declaring that this scripture has been fulfilled in HIM to "proclaim release to the captives" and "set at liberty those who are oppressed"
I am so proud to say that I am officially trained to be a Lead Facilitator in hosting an 8-week certification course through Brave Girl Diaries! With Survivors Led Solutions. This is for organizations in our community that work and deal in vanuarable sectors .
I am so happy this is a survivor-led course and trauma-informed training. Anyone who is interested in being apart of the conversation is more than welcome to be apart of this certification.
My heart is to go into safe houses, church organizations, youth groups, prison ministry, shelters, and one sector that is close to my heart: the educational systems. Trafficking does not play fair so we need to get to the roots and understand the why before the why.
This is a great conversation starter! I attached a flyer in the post to bring this conversation to life in a creative way!
Please reach out if you are interested! I am officially taking bookings!
🌳Its a new day with new possibilities. HIS mercies are new every morning. Last night was a busy day and evening---
🚶♀️Started walking again the last few days consistently and it feels nice not driving everywhere. I was at the water with one of my daughters and I found this beautiful heart shape rock and it reminded me of some things I was meditating on before my walk .....
❤️🩹Ezekiel 11:19: "I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh."
✝️"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
P.S..... late last night after my wonderful walk and my 2 bible studies ( i LOVE it ), I got a and late night email from Stephanie Anderson letting me know I have officially graduated ILEAD Leadership 🎓 we had our ceremony on Sunday but I got my certification last night 🩵🫡
So proud of all the leaders that came together for a amazing 2 day training last week 💪 Alicia A. Tappan , mynamemyvoice , Survivor-Led Solutions and Brave Girl Diaries you did it again... thank you again 🌱🙏🫡 P.S..... How fitting are these flowers ?! If you know you know !! Daisy's
Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard."
🫡🩵Today, I had the incredible privilege of standing before a beautiful community at the Men Ending Trafficking BBQ in Jackson’s Point.
Looking out into the crowd, I saw a tapestry of resilient survivors, dedicated parents, faithful sponsors, and supportive government representatives. Every single person there made a conscious choice to show up, to listen, and to stand together. It was a deeply humbling moment, but as I stood up to speak, the story I shared didn't feel like mine. It was HIS✝️❤️🩹.....For the last two decades, Jesus has been holding my hand through every storm, every valley, and every victory. What I shared today was simply a testimony of what God has done in my life 😭❤️🩹🙏
If I am being completely honest, it took me a little longer than some to fully step over to the Kingdom side🤦♀️ No fear in Love baby ! . We all have our own timelines, and mine required a lot of patience. But I have learned that the key to staying grounded is staying IN CHRIST. By staying in the Word multiple times a day, every day, I have found an unwavering assurance. Because of HIS promises, I know that everything is going to be ok.
🙏Usually, speaking about the things we have overcome can bring up old anxieties. But from the moment I woke up, all through the drive up yesterday, and right up until the second I spoke, I felt only one thing: profound PEACE.🕊🤍 There is something incredibly liberating about sharing your truth in a room full of people who are pulling for you. To be surrounded by a community dedicated to ending trafficking and supporting recovery reminded me today of how big God's family truly is.
When Hagar was cast out into the harsh desert of Beersheba with her son, she was utterly hopeless and wept, expecting them to die. In that moment of extreme distress, God heard the boy crying. An angel appeared to comfort Hagar, assuring her that God saw her and had a future for her child. HE then miraculously opened her eyes to see a well of water to save them
Genesis 21:14-19
P.S...... God will send HIS angels and HE will open your eyes supernaturally and physically 🙏
Sometimes messy looks like obeying God and following the script given in front of you from HIM ✝️... even when it feels unfair OR you've been waiting forever/invested everything, and once more you've been passed over—that's truly God's protection and love....
It's knowing that not every good idea is a God idea. It's knowing to not be afraid to cry, and it's also knowing that we can come to God in the sad moments and the HAPPY ones. God is always faithful to us, and I am grateful for HIS protection and direction.
P.S... I obeyed GOD, not man. Transparency moment, and I am not even embarrassed to post this. I will be the first to be real 🥹🫡, and yes, I am ok! Honestly, never felt more brave and free! It's real life, and that comes with honesty!
Not everything is rainbows and lollipops ..... this post is for the ones who feel alone, like no one understands! Guess what? I can try to understand, and I am pointing you directly to the man who helped me! HIS name is JESUS, baby ... open your B.I.B.L.E. and watch peace come and chains break .... 🙏 basic instructions before leaving earth. 🌎
1 John 4:4
But you BELONG to God, my dear children. You have ALREADY WON a VICTORY over those people, because the Spirit who LIVES in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
Elijah was not hiding because he had failed God. He was hiding because he had given everything he had. After one of the greatest victories recorded in Scripture—calling fire down from heaven on Mount Carmel, watching God publicly defeat the prophets of Baal, standing boldly before a nation—Elijah found himself empty. The adrenaline wore off. The crowd was gone. And suddenly a threat from Jezebel sent him running into the wilderness (1 Kings 19:2–3).
Can you relate? Sometimes the biggest battles don’t come before the breakthrough—but after it. After the promotion. After the answered prayer. After you’ve poured yourself out for your family, your calling, your church. You can win on the outside and still feel depleted on the inside.
Under a broom tree, Elijah reached a moment many faithful believers reach—but rarely talk about. He didn’t pray for more fire. He didn’t ask for another miracle. He simply said, *“I have had enough, Lord”* (1 Kings 19:4). This wasn’t rebellion. This was burnout. The same prophet who had faced kings now felt overwhelmed by life. Exhaustion has a way of making even the strongest hearts feel fragile.
But here’s the good news: **God did not scold Elijah for being tired.** God did not say, “Get it together,” or “Try harder.” God understood what Elijah needed. Before giving him direction, God gave him restoration. He sent an angel. He sent food. He sent water. He let him sleep. And then He gently said, *“Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you”* (1 Kings 19:5–7).
Notice that phrase—*the journey is too much for you.* God wasn’t disappointed. He was compassionate. He was saying, “I know this is heavy. I know you’ve carried a lot. And I’m here to strengthen you.”
Some of you need to hear that today. God is not upset with you for feeling worn out. He knows what you’ve been carrying. He sees the silent battles, the long nights, the prayers you whispered when no one else was listening. And before He asks you to keep going, He wants to refill you.
When Elijah reached Mount Horeb, God didn’t come in the dramatic displays Elijah had seen before—not in the wind, not in the earthquake, not in the fire. God came in a gentle whisper (1 Kings 19:11–12). Because when you’re exhausted, you don’t need more noise. You need reassurance. You need the quiet reminder that God is still with you.
Then God spoke life into Elijah’s perspective. He reminded him: *You are not alone.* There were still seven thousand who had not bowed to Baal (1 Kings 19:18). Elijah thought he was isolated, forgotten, finished—but God showed him he was still chosen, still needed, still part of a bigger story.
Your weariness has not canceled your calling. Your fatigue has not disqualified your future. Just because you’re tired doesn’t mean God is done. Sometimes exhaustion is not a sign you’re off track—it’s proof you’ve been faithful.
There are many believers today standing where Elijah stood. You’ve been showing up. You’ve been giving your best. You’ve been fighting battles no one applauds. You are not weak. You are worn. And God is not asking you to push harder—He’s inviting you to rest deeper.
If you’re exhausted, God does not disown you. He meets you under the broom tree. He provides when you feel empty. He whispers when your soul can’t handle the noise. Rest is not quitting. Rest is trusting God enough to let Him restore you.
And when He does—when strength returns, when clarity comes back, when hope rises again—you’ll discover that the same God who met you in your lowest moment is the One who will lead you into your next assignment.
Your story isn’t over. Your strength will return. And the journey ahead—God will give you everything you need for it.
💚And so it begins 2026. All the decades that led up to this very moment took a lot of work mentally, physically, and spiritually. All I can really say is, it's from glory to glory, from here on out, and I give all the credit to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 🙏 🏹
