17th Ramadan marks a significant event in the Islamic history: the Battle of Badr, where Muslims led by Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) achieved a glorious victory over the Quraish of Makkah.
This day, known as “Al-Furqan” (Quran 8:41), symbolized the distinction between belief and disbelief, right and wrong.
Reflecting on the Battle of Badr, we resonate with Quranic verse Surah Al-Imran (3:13),
“Indeed there was a sign for you in the two hosts (which) met together in encounter; one party fighting in the way of Allah and the other unbelieving, whom they saw twice as many as themselves with the sight of the eye and Allah strengthens with His aid whom He pleases; most surely there is a lesson in this for those who have sight.”
