If photographing Taipei 101 is on your Taipei bucket list, here are 3 spots worth checking out! 🇹🇼
📍 Elephant Mountain
⭐ Best for: The classic Taipei 101 skyline photo
Pros:
• Stunning panoramic views with lots of greenery surrounding Taipei 101
• The hike makes the view feel even more rewarding!
Cons:
• Lots of stairs—definitely a workout!
• Can get very crowded, especially at the famous photo spot
• Hot weather + mosquitoes can make the hike a bit rough
📍 Huain Park
⭐ Best for: An easy, stress-free photo stop
Pros:
• Super accessible with very little walking
• Closer view of Taipei 101
• Usually much quieter, so you won't feel rushed taking photos
Cons:
• Doesn't have the lush mountain scenery, so the photos feel a bit less dramatic
📍 Zhucun Izakaya Restaurant
⭐ Best for: Early morning & evening city vibes
Pros:
• No hiking required
• Beautiful at golden hour and after sunset with Taipei 101 glowing in the background
Cons:
• The least scenic of the three locations
• Can get busy with people lining up for photos, so arriving early is your best bet
If I could only recommend one, I'd still choose Elephant Mountain for the unforgettable view. But if hiking isn't your thing, Huain Park is such an underrated alternative. ✨
