The Indian Army has announced the 65th Short Service Commission Technical Recruitment for Men and the 36th SSC (Tech) for Women. This recruitment is a valuable opportunity for engineering graduates who aspire to serve the nation as officers in the prestigious Indian Army.
The online application process opens on 7th January 2025 and closes on 5th February 2025. Only unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply for these positions.
Army Officer Eligibility Criteria
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Candidates must fulfil the following educational requirements:
Applicants should have completed or be in the final year of their Engineering Degree in the specified discipline mentioned in the official notification.
Final-year students are eligible to apply but must provide proof of passing along with all semester mark sheets by April 1, 2024.
The degree certificate must be submitted within 12 weeks of the commencement of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai
AGE LIMIT
For SSC (Tech)-65 Men and SSCW (Tech)-36 Women, candidates must be between 20 and 27 years old as of April 1, 2024. This means they should be born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2004 (both dates inclusive). For widows of Indian Armed Forces personnel who lost their lives in service, the age limit is relaxed up to 35 years as of April 1, 2024.
