First of all, it is connected with the theme of one person, since the prefix "mono" means one. Only one member remained from the old team line-up, and this was played up in the name.
The second component of the name is in its definition. Monochrome is an image containing light of one color (wavelength) that is perceived as one hue. So the members of the team, although they are all different, are perceived as a single whole, united into one common desire and aspiration.
