It was narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, what you think, if I know that a particular night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say on that night? He said: “Say: ‘Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘anni (O Allah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).’”
