Former converts to Islam aren't given enough grace...
As someone who is a former convert to Islam, I have a lot of stories and lived experiences. Many of these experiences are my own, and many are the stories of people I have met along the way. I see comments over and over again about how "dumb" anyone who converted to Islam is, and I can't say I agree with that.
You can say and think whatever you want, but I do want to point out that converting to Islam is not just a bad pick of religions to follow, it's something that we have created lives from. My daughter is the most precious, and beloved little human in my life. The joy she has brought my life is immeasurable. She's a well-behaved child, smart, and kind to everyone in her life.
To say that we are simply "dumb" is to deny the reality of what a conversion entails for a lot of us, which can come in the form of marrying and bringing children into this world. Before you judge, think of the human behind the decision. At the end of the day, that's what all of us are, humans making choices.
Is Islam a good choice? No.
Is it a good choice to question the sources, do deeper research, then decide to leave Islam? Yes.
Everyone who converts to this religion and leaves has a story. By leaving and speaking out, we can spread awareness to slow down the cycle of potential conversions before they happen.

Is getting married at 16 a good idea?
When a Muslim girl and a Jewish guy start to become more than friends, the Muslim girl's mother gives her an ultimatum: either never talk to this guy again, or get married. This left the Muslim girl to choose between two extremes, not fully understanding the scope of the decision she was about to make.
Yesterday, we covered a girl that got married at 16 and divorced at 17. This decision didn't happen in a vacuum. Her mother did not pull this idea out of thin air. In Islam, women are not allowed to be alone with the opposite gender unless it's their husband, brother, or father. He was also non-Muslim, and Muslim women are not allowed to marry non-Muslim men. Men and women are also encouraged to marry young, but I would argue, even in this case, many Muslim parents would be opposed to something like this.
This story is wild, and if you want to hear what happened to Maryam and her story, watch now. ⬇️

Muhammad must have been the most insecure man on the planet.
In this hadith, Mohammad lays yet another ridiculous and nonsensical ruling on his wives to not wear silk or jewelry in this world.
The Messenger of Allah used to tell his wives not to wear jewelry and silk. He said: "If you want the jewelry and silk of Paradise, then do not wear them in this world."
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5136
This is just another way for Mohammad to control the autonomy of women and reinforce their dependence on him.
He also forbade them from talking to men without a screen between them, and to EVER marry after he died. He also assumed that Aisha cheated on him with Ṣafwān ibn al-Muʿaṭṭal
But what else did Mohammad forbid women to do (all Muslim women)? Let's go through a list.
1. Wear jewelry and silk
2. Wearing perfume in public
3. Plucking eyebrows
4. Wearing makeup
5. Hair extensions and wigs
6. Covering everything but the face and hands
7. Traveling without a mahram
8. Fasting or praying while menstruating
9. Not marrying outside of the Islamic faith
10. Refusing sex with one's husband
11. Fasting without the husband's permission
12. Not allowed equal inheritance
What else can you think of that Mohammad did to take away the autonomy of women?

Mohammad Hijab casually ate donuts and licked sugar off of his fingers while the judge delivered his fate.
I wonder what owing almost million USD tastes like?

Mohammad Hijab liked donuts so much that he made sure to savor every last morsel and piece of sugar he could. He was licking the sugar off his fingers as his million dollar fate was being handed to him.
What kind of donuts was he eating in court?
