🧠Living with Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum (ACC) ✨ Sharing my story of resilience & growth 🌉 Bridging brain & heart, breaking stigma 💬 Join me as I explore life, learning, & strength
So I did a thing... I did my ice breaker for toastmasters in which I spoke about this YouTube channel and why its really important. I was also named toastmaster of the week a title of which I'm very thankful. The video of the ice breaker will come up in the next few days. Never give up folks!
I know sometimes you might feel like the whole world is against you. When you start feeling that way, remember where you come from and that some people out there care about you and want to see you succeed. You are never truly alone.
I was born with what is called: Agenesis of the Corpus Callosum.
Although, I was lucky enough to be born with a very mild version of it, I still had difficulties in school that I had to work very hard to overcome. I won't say it was easy because it wasn't. A long the way, I had teachers who dragged me down because they did not understand my handicap. But I would never let them win...I would keep working hard so one day I could show them that I was worth it and that I could accomplish things. And in the end I was able to complete a Bachelor's degree in university.
The main reason why I created this page after many years of thinking is that I don't want anyone else to have to go through what I did and to end up questioning themselves everyday, asking themselves if they are worth it.
The idea behind this page is for people to learn from my life experiences and realize they are not alone and that its OK to stand up for yourself even when the world doesn't understand you.
I want this to be a space were people can talk about what it means to grow up different. A place were they can share the hard parts and the powerful ones. I also want this to be a place were people can speak honestly about disability, neurodivergence, resilience and healing.
If you’ve ever felt like you didn’t fit, like your brain didn’t work the way it “should,” or like the world wasn’t built for you... this space is for you too.
Not Broken, Just Different
