For the BACH international classical music competition, I have been selected as a FINALIST for Voice in the 18-20 age category. I am now guaranteed a spot in the honorable mentions at the very least… If I cough up an €85 administrative fee. I honestly didn’t expect to get past the first round, which was free, so now I need to ask around my family for the money. The deadline to pay is May 3rd. I’m excited, but also terrified that I might miss this opportunity. Anyway, that’s my update. Bye for now, guys!

P.S. I sang Nemico Della Patria to advance to the finals, in case you assumed I didn’t work on the aria these past couple months.

Here's an opinion I formed some weeks ago about Quinn Kelsey, an opera baritone, as I have begun my opera journey. Of all the modern baritones, many of which are mediocre at best, Quinn Kelsey is the worst. Do some research, compare him with some standout baritones from the 1970s and earlier, and then tell me how much you agree with that statement. I'm just curious.
