Give Your Baby Peanuts at 4-7 Months - Reduce Allergy Risk by 81%
✅ The landmark LEAP study found that introducing peanuts to high-risk infants between 4-11 months reduced peanut allergy development by over 80% (New England Journal of Medicine)
✅ A new 2024 study found nearly 40% fewer peanut and food allergy diagnoses in children under age 3 after early introduction guidelines were released (AJMC)
✅ Peanut allergy rates dropped from 0.79% to 0.45% following the updated guidelines
✅ For every 200 infants exposed to peanuts early in life, one child is prevented from developing a food allergy (American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology)
✅ Protection lasts into adolescence - early peanut consumption provides lasting tolerance regardless of how often kids eat peanuts later (National Institutes of Health)
💡 The takeaway: Current guidelines recommend introducing peanut products at 4-6 months (once baby has started solids) - NOT avoiding them! This simple change is already making a real difference for families.
⚠️ Important: For babies with severe eczema or egg allergy, consult an allergist first for proper testing and supervised introduction.

Drbeen Medical Lectures
Dear Kool Beens,
Thank you for your friendship, care, and support over the years. Together we have published more than 1,200 videos. Presented about 1,000 research studies (while I went through thousands of studies to short-list the ones that I presented.) Wrote a book. Helped with the protocol creation. Created thousands of illustrations. And, am continuing to do so.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you again for being with me in my journey to serve humanity.

Reynolds Number Explained FAST! | Laminar vs Turbulent Blood Flow 🔥
Video link: https://youtu.be/BpOOZjihTi0?si=dJkMs...
In this video, we explain how Reynolds number determines whether blood flow in vessels is laminar or turbulent, why turbulence occurs, and how these concepts impact clinical conditions and diagnostic interpretation. Perfect for USMLE, NCLEX, nursing students, medical students, and physiology learners, this tutorial simplifies the formula, concepts, and mechanisms behind blood flow patterns.
🎯 Learning Objectives:
Definition of Reynolds number. 📘
Formula for calculation of Reynolds number. 🔢
Types of blood flow. 🩸

Understand Vascular Compliance in 8 Minutes! ⚡Physiology Made Simple
Video link: https://youtu.be/cIDyOREufBI?si=RM12h...
In this video, we explore the concept of vascular compliance — also known as capacitance or distensibility — and understand how it defines the flexibility and storage capacity of blood vessels. 🩸
We’ll also compare compliance vs elastance, the formula to calculate compliance, and discuss how arteries and veins differ in their ability to stretch and recoil under blood pressure. 💉
