Unexpectedly ran into Stuart Edgington (@stuartedge on YouTube) at the Independence Visitors' Center today! I met him last year at a social media conference in Utah. He missed his flight while visiting Nauvoo, so he decided to come down to see the Missouri sites. I'm so glad he did!
I took him to go see the Eight Witnesses Monument in Liberty. I pointed out my 4x great grandfather, Levi Jackman. I was surprised that Stuart recognized the name. He said his ancestor was in the same group with Levi Jackman when the Saints first entered the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Our families are still friends today in 2025.
