Lately, I've been dealing with some health issues, that pulled me away from doll-making (boo!). A bunch of projects had to be put on hold, and while I tried to finish this one for Mermay… Well, let’s just say it turned into Mer-June 🙈

Guys 😭 I’ve messed the faun baby project up 😭 😭 😭
It was all going smoothly, until I had an idea to do a second coat of varnish. I thought “Just to be safe”, because one of you reserved to buy it. I’ve never done 2 coats before and even though I waited 24 hours, the first layer (which was dry to touch for past 23 hours) obviously wasn’t cured completely, because the paint started to run and separate in places.
I’ve worked on this doll day and night for past 6 weeks so I’m completely devastated by ruining it this close to end. I cried my way through saving what I could, but the surface stayed patchy due to the disturbed varnish 😩
I need to step away from the whole project for couple of days and get some proper sleep, so the video editing is postponed.
Full Snowy Faun Baby video will be coming on Wednesday, instead of tonight.
Meanwhile, here is a preview of what I thought were the last touches - applying gloss varnish to waterlines...

Hi everybody 😊
So sorry last week’s video has been delayed! I challenged myself to try something I’ve never done before - to make a (semi) ball jointed doll on a slightly bigger scale than my tiny art dolls with simple wire skeletons. It takes getting used to! I’m still at the sculpting stage, because figuring out the technical aspect is taking me out of my usual groove. But I’m having so much fun and hope you’ll enjoy the upcoming video. Here's a little sneak peak 💕

Hello 😊 Apologies to everyone who's been waiting for my Follow-me eyes tutorial, that was supposed to be available today! The video was part of another art doll project, but battery life of my camera expired suddenly 😭 and I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. New battery is being delivered sometime next week, so rather than publish a substandard video, I decided to wait. Thank you for your patience 🙏 💕
