Following a sudden family emergency, my channel will remain inactive for the remainder of the year. My father recently suffered a major stroke in the left side of his brain and was diagnosed with aphasia, losing movement on the right side of his body and his ability to speak. After days in the hospital, he is thankfully stable and alert, but is still unable to move or speak clearly. He has since been transferred into a rehabilitation center where we are working with physical and speech therapists daily in hopes of recovery.

From his condition, it is looking to be quite the long road ahead. As such, I will be taking this month off to be with my father. While I originally had plans to upload several videos soon, including a holiday special, I will need to restructure and delay all uploads until 2026.

I'm a rather private person, but on a personal level, this has been a very difficult time. I had just visited my father days before his stroke and he was moving, talking, and laughing like normal. To see someone you love deeply go from completely normal to such a disabled state overnight is incredibly heartbreaking and invokes a great deal of pain that I would never wish on anybody. I encourage every one to call their loved ones and cherish the times you have in health, for you never expect something tragic to happen until it does.

Two years ago today, I uploaded my very first video to this channel. In honor of the two-year channel anniversary, I've been working on two special videos simultaneously. Starting later this week, we'll be moving away from the first-generation titles to cover City Folk before diving into a dedicated New Leaf video to cap off the month!

I've made the decision to push back today's video to now go live on Friday, August 1st, delaying it by two days. The reason for the delay is simple -- following a final review, I wasn't happy with the editing of a few sections which made them difficult to follow and boring to watch. I plan to spend the next couple days improving those sections and bringing them up to the quality of the rest of the video.

I apologize for the delay, but this is my longest video to date and I really want to do it justice. The extra couple days will help me ensure that the video remains understandable and entertaining throughout. Thank you. 🙇‍♂️
