I eat plants, and play with animals. Have you ever heard the plaintive cries of a mother cow pining for her calf? Does she deserve that? Leave animals alone, if you can't care for them, and allow them the dignity that they deserve. Eat plants instead. Oats, blueberries, mangos, bananas, potatoes, rice, nuts, pasta, lentils, spices... there's lots of vegan food out there that doesn't require intentional cruelty to obtain.

Ethical Phytophage
Where do I get my dietary advice, as an ethical vegan who also wants to eat healthy plant based food? From excellent lifestyle medicine doctors like Dr. Neal Barnard - vegan rockstar and founder of PCRM.

Ethical Phytophage
"Cows produce milk for the same reason that humans do: to nourish their young. In order to force them to continue producing milk, factory farm operators typically impregnate them using artificial insemination every year. Calves are generally torn away from their mothers within a day of birth, which causes them both extreme distress. Mother cows can be heard calling for their calves for days."
